If you want to get away from the madding crowd, but still be within a 15 minute walk of the centre, this is the place for you. It's also remarkably cheap; we paid 80 Zloty per night including breakfast for a large room with a balcony.

The owners were pleasant. The elderly lady came across as friendly but reserved, and although she did not speak any English, my wife (who is of Polish descent) could converse with her in Polish.

It was hard to judge the ambience, as we were the only guests at the time. However the breakfast was excellent. The restaurant menu was by prior arrangement, and we did not try this, although we could probably have got bottled beer from the bar had we wished to do so.

We booked this place before looking at the previous trip advisor reviews. Then to our horror we read these reviews and prepared for the worst. But thankfully we had nothing to fear. We were expecting to find a total kip, with cold showers and vampires roaming the place but to our surprise we found it to be charming, full of old antiques and pre-war decore and buckets of history. Rooms were grand, bathroom a bit cramped, breakfast was very nice, and staff very friendly and helpful.

We stayed here August 2006 - there was a mix up with the booking so that when we arrived they did not have us booked in - we had booked 4 single rooms but as they were not expecting us it was a bit of a struggle and so on the first night we had only two rooms available so we shared on one night and then we girls had our own rooms thereafter, boys were content with sharing. The accommodation is basic but clean, the breakfast was good and it was great value. There is a nice area to sit out in front of the premises. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. In the evenings we could sit in the living room being served drinks as late as we wanted it was very homely. It was a short walk into town and it was a surprise when we discovered on our last night they did not accept payment by card which necessitated a dash to the ATM but it all ended well and we had a lovely time. It is not luxurious accommodation but well worth considering for location and service and value for money - check whether they need payment by cash so you can be prepared.

I never had been in worse place. The owner is very unfriendly and unhelpful.
Typical lady who forget that communism is gone long time ago.
Treat staff terrible. I was disgust. One girl is working in reception, bar and clean rooms in the same time.
Rooms are very small, untidy, bar always close. Food absolutely horrible.
Please stay away from this nasty place. It is definitely not hotel.
