Arrived1/24/2012 for three nights. Single room included one double and one single bed. Couples in my group had same arrangement so maybe it's standard. Standup shower, towel warmer, safe, two dormer windows (snow covered but openable for night air), pool (lots of children but this is during school break in Poland), pool slide leads into pool separated from swim area. Very generous buffet breakfast -- about double what was offered at Wyspianski in Krakow. Wi-Fi throughout is free but a bit slow; computer room available but no faster. Desk scanned & sent docs for me
Connected fine restaurant quite good and reasonable. I had garlic soup, grilled trout (farm raised), salad and coffee for 69 zlotys (about $20) plus tip. My two companions had two drinks each, bottle wine, dinners & one coffee for $70 plus tip. Two more restaurants within walking distance plus one less formal in hotel. Town square about 15 minute walk in the snow. Zakopane is a very interesting and special place, unusual local architecture, deep history.
