“Fantastic in every way”

Last week I had a pleasure to stay in Litwor Hotel in Zakopane. Hotel is conveniently located right in the middle of downtown, close to all attractions. Two reasonable parking options (open and garage). Rooms are nicely furnished and have balconies with mountain views. Restaurant is outstanding - fabulous breakfast with local cheeses and cold cuts and their dinner chef is a magician. We will go back for Christmas stay!

“Fantastic food but unfortunately let down by the room...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 June 2010

This hotel serves the most amazing food (in fact I don't think I have ever eaten food like this in a hotel!). We ate in the restaurant every breakfast and dinner for three nights - and every meal was superb.

Unfortunately this hotel is a 5* hotel but the rooms don't live up to this. The curtain we had in our room barely covered the window, and it was a juggling act to try and cover one side to the other side of the window! In our room was a double bed and a single bed. When we went to go to bed on the first night a single duvet had been put on the bed, which meant we took the other single duvet (from the single bed) to cover ourselves. We stayed at the hotel a further two nights, and this didn't seem to be rectified. There were also no tea and coffee facilities in the room.

“Central Location, Traditional Surroundings, Wonderful Views”

Having visited Zakopane a number of times before, on a recommendation this was the first time I stayed at the Hotel Litwor. I was not disappointed, the hotel is in a very central location, right on the main street making it an ideal base.
The rooms were spacious and clean, our "double" had two double beds, room for our baby's cot and a small seating area with a table and chairs plus a balcony with a beautiful view overlooking "The Sleeping Knight" Geiwont.
Breakfast was an excellent buffet, specialising in the local delicacies, with plenty of international choice.
The pool and sauna area was fantastic, the pool was a little cool but quite large by hotel standards. Again the whole area was really clean.
The staff were all friendly and would accomodate any odd request without question (traveling with a 7 month old makes you have a few of these!) . Nearly all spoke excellent English.
There is also secrure car parking either across the road or under the hotel..
I would recomend that you look around for a deal at this hotel, for the dates I stayed I was able to take advantage of a reduced rack rate by nearly 50%.
The only negative is that due to such a central location it can be noisy at night, especially when the revellers are singing on their way home in the early hours, of course you could close the windows.

“First class”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2009

Hotel Litwor is situated mid way on the main pedestrianised main street of the small town of Zakopane which can get busy at some times of the day.The hotel and staff are first class and food out of this world especially breakfast [Buffet].Some bedrooms overlook the Tatra mountains and others a park. The air is filled with wood smoke from local fires and the smell of smoked cheese a local delicasy. The hotel has a lovely indoor pool and also sauna , steam room and jacuzzi. The lounge was rather small.
Nothing else to complain about
