Tourist House PTTK is good for guests who do not require luxuries and only need a week of accommodation and set off into the mountains. Shared rooms are very poorly equipped, but there is not dirty. There are many facilities and the beds are old and uncomfortable. The hotel has a very good location - close to Krupówki. The staff is very nice and helpful, but the hotel is reminiscent of old times in Poland

The rooms were very neat and spacious. The place is pretty dated and run down but has a cozy feel to it. The reception area is dark and unwelcoming as others pointed out but the rooms were just fine and in a great location. The beds were very comfortable, but small. Walking distance to bus station, and to the mountains. The area around the hostel had lots of trees and was poorly lit so it may not be very safe. Had no bad experience, but still something to consider. Overall I would recommend. A nice clean room for a cheap price in a good location.

This tourist association-run hostel-type accommodation's biggest asset is it's very cheap. It was rather unwelcoming when we arrived, with the large reception area being shrouded in darkness as all the lights were turned off. However, our double room was spacious, and had a good bathroom with powerful shower, plus a TV (with CNN news in English), fridge and a kettle. No mugs for tea though, just glasses. The beds, however, were weird - the bases, with fixed mattresses seemingly filled with some sort of straw/sacking, were very hard and uncomfortable, with only a few blankets and sheets on top for cushioning. The beds were warm enough as there was a duvet, but our resulting aches and pains definitely hampered our experience of the place. We didn't complain because it was only £60 each for six nights. Also, we didn't bother with breakfast (an optional extra at only about £1.50) as we preferred to go to the local store and make our own sandwiches etc. In the hotel there is also a large tourist shop with a huge number of postcards, maps and books. It is also ideally placed for visits to the buzzing Krupowski street and Gubalowka Hill. Overall, I would recommend this place simply for the above reasons, but make sure you get a decent bed!
