We have been visiting this hotel every winter and we are now going there again in February. I am Polish, married to an English guy and did not have to spend ages to make him agree to go there. We used to go to Chamonix in France before and apart from spending a fortune there on everything, and I mean everything, the conditions were no different to the ones in zakopane. Unless you are a snob then go ahead!
Kasprowy is a great hotel for all people's ages. We have got 5 year old son and every stay is classed as fabulous.
There are two ski lifts by the hotel (blue and red routes) and the ski school. No need to compare the prices as there is no comparison - cheap and v high quality!
We always go for b&b version as there are lots of fantastic highlanders' restaurants that offer great food. But if you fancy lunch in the hotel and evening dinner in town there are restaurants that serve lovely soups (great after skiing) and the whole range of other food. Also every day at 3pm in the hotel lobby by the bar the cook fries fresh pancakes! We all loved it!!
All in all if you are a skier the hotel, although very clean, warm and cosy, would not bother you that much as you are there to play in the snow but I do recommend it as it is situated in a very convinient place, next to ski lifts and walkable distance from the town where you can also get by using the hotel shuttle.
