This is very budget accomodation, but we only slept there. I think for the price we payed it was very good. We stayed in double room on the first floort. The owners live in the same house, one night their cat was trying to get to the house through our window, so if you do not like cats this place is not for you as the owners have two of them. The accomodation is very basic, but everything was there, TV and kettle in the room, it was quite clean, the guest house have common kitchen and guest room with free Internet and big LCD TV, everything is clean and nicely furnished. The rooms are very simple, but if you have choice I would suggest to take rooms on second floor, they are bigger in size.
The owners were very friendly, they speak a bit of English (and German I think). Ask for precise direction, otherwise if you are first time in Zakopane it is not so easy to find the guest house. There is parking place for aprox. 5 cars.
There are few skiing slopes nearby. A couple of them are at walking distance, to the others we had to drive. We liked the most the one near Mercury hotel. At mid April there was still enough snow for skiing, although sun was shining and during the day it was possible to walk in T-shirts.
Zakopane is not far from Slovakia. On the way there I would reccomend to visit hotel Novy Targ and slope nearby, very nice view.
