“Beautiful Hotel Indeed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 December 2011

My husband and i stayed her in december 2011, on entering the hotel we were greeted by friendly staff and was shown to our room by the bell boy. The room was very nice indeed, beautiful large wooden bed, flatscreen tv, mini bar, large wardrobe, safe everything you need. The bathroom was beautiful, full set of shampoos, soaps ect. The bath was wonderfull the water was very warm and filled up quickly. Breakfast was amazing, everything you could think of from full english to smoked salmon and cereals. We ate in the resturaunt and was served a delicious veal. I cannot fault this hotel except for one thing............when we checked in the receptionist asked for our credit card to register it incase we had any room service/mini bar ect. We actually found out at the last minute that they had tried to charge my card with 500zlotys!!!! luckilyi didnt have enough money in my bank and this was waivered so we paid cash for any extra services. Apart from that i highly reccomend this hotel. Its location is perfect right on the square.

Room Tip: We only had a basic room but ive been told that the suites are amazing and and have their own balcon...

“Superb, The Best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 November 2011

The Location on the corner of one of the best squares in a City that you will ever get. Its teeming with History, fasinating sights, beautiful horses, music and performing arts. The Bonerowski is right there where it all happens. Sitting outside in comfort, great food, the staff are lovely. Inside is beautiful, there are different rooms to choose from, for where you would like to eat. I did think though that our room would be larger, and there wasn't any tea and coffee facilities in our bedroom, or an iron, we did ask for the latter, and in no time the staff delivered an iron and ironing board. The choice of breakfast was Ist class. Evening meals just as good. Their Taxi Driver drove a super car and he was a Gentleman. We shall return

“Would be perfect, if the service matched the hotel.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2011

I spent 5 nights in a suite at the Bonerowski Palace and overall would recommend it, but would advise keeping your expectations for the service to that of a 3 star hotel. First with the positive: the location is perfect, right on the main square; the rooms are spacious and truly feel palatial, although I agree with one of the other reviewers that the beds aren't very comfortable - extremely hard; the FOOD at the breakfast buffet is very nice; the FOOD at the restuarant is excellent; and the nightly Chopin concerts are a nice perk. The quality of the service, however, consistently frustrated me. At breakfast, when I was perhaps one of three guests in the dining room, it would consistently take the waitress 10 minutes just to ask me whether I wanted coffee or tea and another 5 to bring it. While waiting, I would literally sit and watch her stare out the window at the patio seating the entire time with her back to the dining room. It was 40 degrees out and they had no patio customers. I realize a 15 minute wait for coffee is not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things, but if you're going to claim to be a 5 star hotel, it is. The service in the restuarant was also lacking. Once your food was delivered that was the last time your server would check in with you regardless of whether you were out of water or wine. The front desk wasn't much better. Upon departure, I asked the girl at the front desk to call me a taxi to take me to the train station. Her intial response, despite the fact that I had all of my luggage with me, was that it's a 10 minute walk. Yea, I know that. That's why I want a taxi. I'm not sure there's anywhere else in Krakow that I would stay above the Bonerowski, but my sincere hope is that management reads this and tells the staff to start elevating the level of service to that of the overall hotel.

“Mostly excellent”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 October 2011

I booked this room so we could have a taste of glamour and luxury and a wonderful view of the famous square. The bedroom was beautifully decorated but the bed wasn't particularly comfortable. The bathroom was huge and elegant with a great bath for soaking and heated towel rack. The breakfast room was lovely with a view of the square. The food was wonderful and beautifully presented. We also enjoyed our dinner in the hotel restaurant (Italian cuisine, well prepared and presented). The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The magnificent stairway is well worth a visit. I think that we were upgraded to a suite (because I had requested twin beds) but the living room part was too big, uncomfortably furnished, and gloomy - - not a place I'd want to spend any time. And, I was disappointed that the view from all of the windows was simply of buildings across the street, not the square.

Room Tip: Upgrade to one of the few suites that DO have a view of the square

“First Class Luxury - Best of All”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 September 2011

If you frequent the best hotels in the world, and know the difference in the highest quality vs the highest price, you will appreciate the Bonerowski Palace. It is not cheap - but for the luxury traveler it is a value.

Recently restored, the public areas take your breath away. The restaurants are absolute works of art - literally. The service is amazing - the staff is attentive and happy to assist.

My recommendation is that you go all the way and splurge on the Presidential Suite. It has the only balcony overlooking the Market Square and is ABSOLUTE PERFECTION. Hand painted murals on the walls, French silk curtains, ceilings at least 15" tall. Even Evita Peron would have been happy in this suite - you can easily envision Madonna singing "Don't Cry For Me, Argentina" from this balcony. That's why I call it the "Evita" Suite!

Being at The Bonerowski Palace has made this among the most wonderful trips I've ever taken. I'd prefer to return here than go to Paris and stay at the George V. It's THAT good.

Room Tip: Spend the $$$$$ and request the Presidential Suite - it's worth it
