In 2009 we were delighted with our room (Rubens, 3rd floor) - it was incredibly quiet and it really has a magnificent view to the Main Market Square. In 2010 we took Rembrandt on the 2nd floor and it was a terrible disappointment. The big double bed stands head to a large old door - and on the other side of the door there's another such bed in the neighbouring apartment. Not only could we smell cigarettes and coffee - the gaps around the door are big enough to put your thumb in, so even weaker scents, such as of bread and eggs could be easily recognized.
After an evening in a room stinking of cigarette smoke, we were exposed to the sounds of long, monotonous sexual procedures of the couple next door. Remember: don't go there with children - or book the rooms on both sides of the door.
The furniture was scarce at the time of our visit, not very carefully assembled and didn't particularly fit the old walls. I can't believe four people can have breakfast at the tiny table - it was a challenge even for the two of us. You even have to be cautious when just walking: the wooden floor has an unfinished, unprotected edge and you can stumble or wound your feet.
To summarize: don't go there with children; and even without children don't take that room unless you are deaf and noseless.
