The hotel is situated in the old Jewish quarter and, though not immediately close to Krakow's main square and shopping facilities, it itakes no more than 15 minutes walk to reach these. Located in a cobbled street itself, the hotel is surrounded by a variety of places to eat. The hotel itself, though, has a good restaurant that is reasonably priced ande staff are very attentive.
We were given rooms on the fourth floor which were both spacious and well furnished and the beds were extremely comfortable with quality pillows. Arriving on a hot July day we were delighted to have a very effective air-conditioning system in our rooms. Bathrooms were well appointed and towels and toiletries were plentiful.
Breakfasts were mainly self-service with a wide array of meats, cheeses, smoked salmon, breads, cereals and fresh fruit to choose from with freshly cooked eggs as an addition if desired. Serving from 7am until 11 am gave travellers great flexibility and staff were always helpful and willing.
The reception staff were also keen to assist in any way they could, giving advice on where to eat, shop etc, as well as making arrangements for trips to the Salt Mines and Auschwitz. Reporting to them that a lamp in one of our rooms was not working resulted in its repair within a very short time.
We were delighted with this hotel and would be very happy to stay there again. The street in which the hotel is located is so full of character and charm, I can't imagine finding anywhere nicer!
