Stayed at Kadetus as passing through Krakow on holiday. Booked a twin and got a double. The room we had (no. 3) was right next to the kitchen and the walls are very thin. On the first night we were awake until after midnight with people eating and cooking right next to our room, and then they started again from 5:30am. The bed was uncomfortable and slept terribly for the 3 nights we were there. The desk staff were rude and unhelpful and definitely unfriendly. Although we were asked to leave the key at reception when we left the building there was no real security - we saw four different desk staff during our time and only the one that checked us in would have known we were actually in room 3 - you could walk in off the street and ask for the key and they would hand it to you. It was also dirty in the room which had floorboards which may be swept but never mopped - if you walked around barefoot you feet went black. The location is actually pretty good. Apart from being a walk with a bag from the station we didn't use any public transport and could easily walk back and forth from the town centre. We booked because the reviews on Trip Advisor were actually ok but I was very disappointed and so glad to be checking out.
