We had a great stay in Kadetus Hostel. We stayed in Joker Room, it was simple and clean, the breakfast was various and tasty. The Staff is very helpful and friendly. The hostel itself is cosy, the furniture is new and the kitchen is useful if you wanna cook a soup on a cold day in October :)
I can recommend this cheap hostel to everyone.

Not much of a hostel visitor. But this was truly great. Very friendly, large room, very close to the Old Town (within 5 min. walking distance), and lovely huge, free breakfast (brunch-style). And cheap. So very, very recommendable.

I stayed in this hostel 1 night in April in a double room ensuite and I am very statisfied with our staying here. The room was spacious with a big LCD TV and a good bathroom. Breakfast was good (I just didn't like to wash the dishes). It definitely worth the money. Diogo Costa - Portugal

Kadetus hostel is about a 10 min walk from the main square and 30min walk with luggage to the train station.
A clean and spacious hostel run by friendly staff. Our room was big with large ensuite bathroom. No air conditioning but a fan was supplied. The outside street was relatively quiet apart from when the trams started to run early am. Once the windows were shut over you didn't really hear them.
Breakfast consisted of breads, cheese, meats and juice set at a communal table where there was not always enough a room.
On arrival a personalised pack was made up with maps and tourist information leaflets and a pen. A nice touch. An additional bonus was free internet usage on the 2 computers set in the communal kitchen/lounge area.
Kadetus was a pleasantly quiet hostel in which I would use again.
