We popped over to Krakow for a weekend to unwind and relax. The location was very important to us since we know the city centre well and wanted to spend our time in the Jewish quarter. When we saw pictures of the swimming pool on the rooftop we were sold on Qubus. Of course we didnt even have time to use it in the end, but we were happy with the room and the service. Very relaxing atmosphere, charming and professional staff and delicious bar food.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights on our trip around Europe. It was by far our favorite hotel overall, for a few reasons; great location (right by oscar schindler's factory), great service and friendly people, amazing pool and common areas, large room and bathroom, very comfy bed, close to tram which is very easy and cheap to town. It was also the only hotel that the company we did a few tours with picked up from - everyone else had to meet the company in town (which isn't a bad thing...until it is -20 degrees, then you want to avoid being outside!!). Finally, the breakfast is amazing! Would highly recommend both this hotel, and Poland.

On first arrival at the Qubus we had a warm welcome from the guy on reception who gave us a complimentary copy of a very useful guide to the city which came in handy all through the break. We went to our room up the lift that gives you a panoramic view over the river Vistula and across the city. There was a shoe shining machine as we came out of the lift and plush carpet along the corridors. Our room was on the 4th floor which also gave us a lovely view. There is almost everything you need in the room including an iron & ironing board but the one thing it really needed was tea/coffee making facilities. I meant to write this on the comments sheet at the end of our stay but was in too much of a rush.
The rest of the hotel is very clean & top standard. There is a sauna, swimming pool etc on the top floor which was wonderful after going on three hour walking tours in minus 10 degrees wind & snow. The breakfast consisted of a wide range of cold meats, cereals, fruits, breads, hot sausages, bacon, eggs, and then cakes, yoghurts etc. There was also a tea, coffee making machine. In the reception area was also the bar/cafe. In my opinion this was a bad design as it was right by the front doors which were constantly opening, making it really cold all the time. It was almost always empty when we went through it.
I would definetely visit this hotel again even if it is a bit of a hike to get to the old town itself (around 20-30 mins)

We had a very good stay last November. Lovely rooms and very comfortable beds. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. close to the old Jewish Quarter and a modern shopping Mall. I hope to return to Krakov this year and will go back to the Qubus. Also some excellant restaurants close by.
