“A very good Hotel in the Krakow city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 February 2012

Flew into Krakow from Warsaw and arrived around 10PM. After a full day of flying within Europe it was great to be greeted by a smile at reception. The attendant didn't take long to check me in and guided me to the room personally.
The room was very clean, as to be expected. The bathroom was average but functional. As i came late i didn't want to stroll around Krakow looking for food, so i ordered in room dining. Although the food was below average in my opinion, it wasn't overly expensive either.
The hotel has a business center with internet, faxing/scanning and printing facilities.

“Fantastic City Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

Travelled on a three night city break to Krakow in December and stayed at this hotel on a bed and breakfast basis.

Great location for exploring the city, being just a few minutes walk from the Old Town and the Rynek Glowny (Main Market Square). There are plenty of very good cafes, restaurants and bars in the Old Town to be enjoyed in the evening. Wawel Hill and Kazimierz are all within walking distance, less than 20-30 mins at a leisurely pace.

The hotel itself was extremely clean and the room was very comfortable, as one would expect from this standard of Holiday Inn. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was very good with plenty of variety.

I found all the hotel staff to be courteous and professional throughout our stay. If time permits, I would recommend booking a trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum through the hotel reception. An extremely moving day, but a trip I felt compelled to do.

If travelling to Krakow again, I would have no hesitation in staying at this hotel once more.

“Close to historic center, totally renovated, great service.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

The newly renovated Holiday Inn Center Krakow is a perfect location for visiting the city or doing business in style and in a comfortable place. Just a few meters from the south entrance of beautiful old city center the Holiday Inn is using an old building that really fits perfectly the historic surroundings. But expect only the best from the inside; the lobby is not huge but still is roomy enough to welcome you, staff is absolutely friendly, attentive and helpful in any situation. The rooms are spacious and well organized with brand new classy furniture. There is a small parking lot in front of the hotel but hosts only 5 to 8 cars, ask for help, there is another parking lot nearby.
The executive small suites are fully equipped and the WI FI is available in the lobby while in the cable is ready in the rooms (both free of charge). definitely a perfect choice. Price is a little high for Polish standards but the location deserves it totally. Enjoy!

Room Tip: rooms from 24 to 30 are executive rooms, facing the backyard, silence...

“Better Places to Stay”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

As a family of four we stayed here for 5 nights at the begining of January.
This is a bland disappointing hotel.
Overall cleanliness was of a high standard .Interaction with all non front desk staff was also pleasant. The front desk staff however were rude, disinterested and misformed .
We particulary disliked the 'hawkers' that hung around the lobby touting for buisness, the hotel were well aware of this practice and at times we felt harassed by them.
We were given incorrect information on Schindlers Factory, assured it was opened and told it was too far to walk. We got a taxi there , it was shut and when we visited the next day, sure it was a 20 minute walk but not a difficult one.
I pleasantly informed the concierge on our return that the museum was shut, she then proceeded to shut at me that she had not in fact given us any information on the museum. This was 20 mins later so obviously she had a twin!
Priority Club membership meant zero in this extablishment.
Breakfast had a good variety but way too expensive. The hotel opposite had breakfast of equal quality at less than half the price.
This is rated as a 5 star but how that is calculated is a little of a mystery to us.
Restaurant was shut for dinner during our stay, you get get food in the bar area but given the inflated prices we opted to eat out.
Krakow however is a wonderful city which we thoroughly enjoyed.
Just opt for a different hotel. This was the only place in our 5 day stay were we en-counterd rude staff, everything else we did was without vault

Dear Reviewer,
Thank you for your stay with us and for your recent review. I am very sorry to hear of your experience with reception staff. I was shocked to read such remarks since I have never heard a complaint on our staff being rude and I personally did not observed any similar behavior. On contrary I am very proud of my team delivering great service complemented by our guests on daily basis. Please be assured I have investigated your case and I can summarize my conclusions in one sentence: “The guest is always right but we are not always wrong”. I am convinced the situation is a plot of misunderstandings for which I apologize on behalf of the reception staff and myself. They never intended to be rude or misinform our guests. For example the advice to take a taxi cab in the middle of a heavy winter to Schindler’s Factory which is located 2,5 kilometers from the hotel I would consider as a thoughtful one. Please be also assured that we do not have “hawkers” hanging around the lobby, but you can meet there our taxi drivers sheltering from the cold and anticipating our guests. The breakfast in our hotel is reasonably priced comparing to competitive hotels in the city and we are proud of delivering the variety of highest quality food and drinks.
I do hope you decide to stay in our hotel again. We would like the opportunity to welcome you back in an effort to provide you the level of service you expect from Holiday Inn.

“Excellent location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

Not sure why this is considered a 5 star hotel (if it still is) but anyway.....I digress. Hotel is clean, comfortable and in a very good location. Close to everything. My rate was around 80 Euros a night, which did not include breakfast but there are a bunch of good and cheap cafes around. There may be cheaper hotels or fancier ones, but this was perfect for a short stay.
