As a family of four we stayed here for 5 nights at the begining of January.
This is a bland disappointing hotel.
Overall cleanliness was of a high standard .Interaction with all non front desk staff was also pleasant. The front desk staff however were rude, disinterested and misformed .
We particulary disliked the 'hawkers' that hung around the lobby touting for buisness, the hotel were well aware of this practice and at times we felt harassed by them.
We were given incorrect information on Schindlers Factory, assured it was opened and told it was too far to walk. We got a taxi there , it was shut and when we visited the next day, sure it was a 20 minute walk but not a difficult one.
I pleasantly informed the concierge on our return that the museum was shut, she then proceeded to shut at me that she had not in fact given us any information on the museum. This was 20 mins later so obviously she had a twin!
Priority Club membership meant zero in this extablishment.
Breakfast had a good variety but way too expensive. The hotel opposite had breakfast of equal quality at less than half the price.
This is rated as a 5 star but how that is calculated is a little of a mystery to us.
Restaurant was shut for dinner during our stay, you get get food in the bar area but given the inflated prices we opted to eat out.
Krakow however is a wonderful city which we thoroughly enjoyed.
Just opt for a different hotel. This was the only place in our 5 day stay were we en-counterd rude staff, everything else we did was without vault

Dear Reviewer,
Thank you for your stay with us and for your recent review. I am very sorry to hear of your experience with reception staff. I was shocked to read such remarks since I have never heard a complaint on our staff being rude and I personally did not observed any similar behavior. On contrary I am very proud of my team delivering great service complemented by our guests on daily basis. Please be assured I have investigated your case and I can summarize my conclusions in one sentence: “The guest is always right but we are not always wrong”. I am convinced the situation is a plot of misunderstandings for which I apologize on behalf of the reception staff and myself. They never intended to be rude or misinform our guests. For example the advice to take a taxi cab in the middle of a heavy winter to Schindler’s Factory which is located 2,5 kilometers from the hotel I would consider as a thoughtful one. Please be also assured that we do not have “hawkers” hanging around the lobby, but you can meet there our taxi drivers sheltering from the cold and anticipating our guests. The breakfast in our hotel is reasonably priced comparing to competitive hotels in the city and we are proud of delivering the variety of highest quality food and drinks.
I do hope you decide to stay in our hotel again. We would like the opportunity to welcome you back in an effort to provide you the level of service you expect from Holiday Inn.
Best Regards,
