Just returned today from our first trip to Krakow. The hotel is very good for what you pay for it, and I think that's the important point. It's not a 5 star hotel, so you shouldn't judge it against one.
Our room had clearly had a second bed at some stage, because there was a rather large blank space on the floor, which did make the room look a little unbalanced.
Good points; We found the reception staff fine; friendly and very helpful. They even opened the breakfast room for us at 6;15 this morning, because we had an early departure.
The bed was very comfortable - not too soft, but not rock hard as in a lot of european hotels.
We didn't seem to have a working air conditioning control, but luckily it was set just right for the current weather there, so we never felt unduly hot or cold.
Fantastic location, convenient for the main square, the trams, and a row of bars and restaurants all along the street.
Minus points, none particularly significant.
Lighting level in the room was very low. No central light, and the wall lights had low energy bulbs in them.
No room safe.
Breakfast wouldn't figure in anyone's list of "100 great hotel breakfasts", but there were items to please everyone. I found the ham, tomato, herring and a little pasta very pleasant. The hot items were chorizo (I think), scrambled eggs ( a bit runny) and hot-dog type sausages, which were quite spicy.
Phone was on desk, not by the bed, so an early call meant you had to get out of bed - which I suppose is a good thing, really.
So, as I said, no really significant minuses, just a chain hotel with decent staff in a good location.
