“Great”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 July 2011

Quite central and had all we needed. Staff pleasant and helpful and arranged excursions for us at minimal cost. Everything was clean and fresh and room very spacious. Would certainly recommend it. restaurasnt was only open certain times as was the bar which closed early evening. However, close enough to other places.

Room Tip: Just ask - staff are very friendly.

“Good location, less than friendly front desk, anemic A.C.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 July 2011

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Campanile in Krakow for five nights. The location is great as it lies on the outskirts of Old Town Krakow adjacent to the "green belt". The room was spacious with two double beds and plenty of room to spread out, however there was a musty odor to the room and obvious mildew growth in the bathroom (see A.C. complaint below). The buffet breakfast was well-done and more than enough food. Our only other complaints were that 1) the front desk staff were not terribly friendly or helpful and 2) the room's A.C. was rather anemic and its inability to control the room's humidity certainly contributed to the musty mildewy conditions. This was the only hotel on our entire vacation where the humidity was so high that we could not wash out clothes and ensure they would be dry the next morning. Our overall sense was this was a hotel that exuded an upscale modern facade in the lobby, but was not maintaining the quality of the rooms themselves.

“Good price, excellent location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 July 2011

Comfortable room at affordable price and within short walking distance to the main market. Rooms were basic, but more than adequate for our stay in Campanile. Very nice staff, helpful and smiling. Bathroom clean and refurbished.

“Basic hotel on the edge of the city center”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 June 2011

This is a basic chain hotel situated adjacent to the green belt that encircles Krakow. My single room contained three single beds. All narrow and none of them comfortable. Nevertheless, this is a well priced option for exploring Krakow - which is a true gem. Five minutes walk takes you to the main square.
The breakfast was pretty average in terms of selection and the breakfast room was chaotic.
As other reviewers have mentioned, there is a music school across the road, so classical music being practiced wafts in thru the window all day and into the evening. I did not find this bothersome, but I imagine some people might.
