This was our second stay at this hotel and once again, we found the hotel much to our liking and needs.
The reception staff were always attentive and polite. We booked a Suite (117) one of the most spacious rooms at the hotel which was quiet, with a large bedroom, large bathroom, and a large breakout room with comfortable lounge and table. The hotel breakfast is standard Polish (continental) fare - if you want corn flakes and hash browns, stay elsewhere.
You need to deposit your room key at reception when you leave the hotel, however, reception is attended 24 hours, so don't be afraid to stay out a bit late. (We recommend you try some of the underground bars and restaurants in the Old Town - don't just go to the places at street level on the main square).
On our last night, we advised reception of our need for an early taxi (0500 pickup) to catch an early flight. We were each offered a Breakfast pack on departure which consisted of 2 rolls, a drink, a yogurt, a chocolate bar and an apple. As our room rate had included breakfast, this service was included, but to be honest, we would have paid extra. It was a lovely considerate gesture from this family-run hotel, and one which has cemented this hotel in our minds as being one of the best places we have ever stayed in.
The hotel is well situated in the Old Town, and is definitely on our list of places to stay on our next visit to Krakow.
