“Excellent location for sight-seeing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2011

Great hotel in a very ideal location for pedestrians. The main square - Rynek Glowny is just round the corner. We arrived late at the hotel and after settling in, we decided to go for a drink. The man at the reception was very helpful and gave us the direction to the square which was just a few small streets away. Here the the place was bustling and we were people-watching whilst having a drink. Because of the location, we were able to walk to the Wawel Castle and and took the train to surrounding areas - Jewish Quaters and Schindler's Factory.
Our four days were packed with activities plus relaxing with drinks at the square, thanks to Pollera's location. We liked our room and the breakfast was good.

“Great Hotel in Perfect Location!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2011

Our was a (pensioner) girls' trip to Krakow. We stayed at the Hotel Pollera which was excellent value for money. Our room was large, bathroom very good. The breakfast had almost everything you'd expect for a continental type breakfast and the staff were very helpful. The situation of the hotel meant that the main square was about 1 minute's walk away, it was round the corner from several restaurants, apart from those that line the square. As Krakow is so small and green it was a pleasure to walk everywhere and the hotel helped us arrange a trip down the salt mines!! Fascinating, chandeliers made out of salt!

Room Tip: Even though I book online I still ring them and have a chat the day before leaving - we got a front...

“Nice hotel - great location”

Very nice hotel at the outskirts of the old town of Krakow. Only a few minutes from the main square. Friendly staff and good ambiance. Also very practical for us who picked up a rented car on the last day of our stay. There is a parking lot right opposite the hotel.
We had a wonderful, spacious corner room.

“Ok - fine but not great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 May 2011

The biggest drawback in this boutique hotel is the quality of the beds. They are simply not comfortable. I was also not impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms. It wasn't anything specific, it just was a bit shabby. It is an old hotel converted from a townhome, and insufficient attention has been paid to the acoustics. It can become a bit loud from the outdoor traffic and the noise in the corridors. There is an elevator, which is a plus. The restaurant providing breakfast is quite good with a wide selection of items on the buffet. Again more attention could be paid to the cleanliness of the tables when bussing them. U.S. travelers don't like the crumbs simply swept off the table cloth between seatings. The staff is helpful and cordial. The location, within walking distance of the old town is excellent.

“Excellent location, relatively expensive, great helpful staff”

I got into Kracow late on the train so I was looking for a place closeby. It turns out the Old Town is just next to the train station and the Hotel Pollera, which has been around for over one hundred years, was right where I needed a hotel : ) I initially booked one night then two more then another. I could have gotten a better priced hotel but was completely lazy. The location was perfect. It is an old hotel but in relatively good condition. My room was a single which really wasn't worth the money and it was located between two rooms that were both used by housekeeping (I think the room may have used to have been a closet...literally). I paid a discounted rate of around 65.00US for the room per night which I didn't think was a good value. The breakfast buffet in the morning was included and was great. The personnel were very helpful and friendly.
