“spoilt rotten!”

we stayed in the pod roza for 3 nights in january,1 twin room and 1 single room.
we had arranged to stay at another hotel but it was changed by travel agent, how lucky for us.
our rooms were lovely with LOTS of little extras such as toiletries- shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion all x2.we also had cosmetic packs, shoe shine, shower caps AND slippers and bath robes. the mini bar has one of the largest selection i have seen,we also had a safe(free of charge) in our room.there is also a turn down service if you want.
the bathroom was gorgeous, fabulous shower and jacuzzi bath with plenty of hot water.
the rooms are nice and warm especially with it being -3 outside and snowing.the only 2 downsides for me was no tea or coffee facilities, we ordered room service instead, not a big problem but really would of put the top hat on a top hotel and our room was a side room and on friday and saturday was a little noisy.
the hotel is in a perfect location,on one of the main streets to the main square.this was my 4th time in krakow and this hotel was without doubt the best i have stayed in.

Room Tip: rooms on the front and side a little noisy but great to watch the hustle and bustle, rooms on inside...

I have visited krakow now for the sixth time, and i have only just found this hotel, it is as close to the main square as you can get, i am going back there in two weeks time again,

They upgraded us to a junior suite which was brilliant, its not the cheapest but its perfect for what you need it for, the food is excellent too and the facilities in the hotel are great.

Staf are very friendly too

Would always use this hotel in future

Lynn

Room Tip: there was an air con unit by the junior suite, but slept through this

“Lovely”

The hotel was lovely and very close to the main square. A little noisy at night but not too bad. The two things that let it down for me were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room and the pillows were very thin and not very comfortable. Breakfast was very good and plentiful, you can fill up and then just buy a bagel and coffee during the day! Bathroom was gorgeous and the jacuzzi bath was very welcome after a long day walking. Toiletries included shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion all of very good quality. Would definitely go there again.

“OLD WORLD CHARM”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 September 2011

Somewhat old fashion hotel located in the center of Krakow, near the main city square. Lots of restaurants, bars, fast food etc just outside the door. Inside rooms quiet, those on the main street can be noisy. Rooms are large with updated large bathrooms. The hotel restaurant is top notch. Free computer use, only 1 available Nice staff. Overall a lovely hotel in an outstanding location.

Room Tip: Inside rooms quiet.

“the best hotel on my European tour 2011”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2011

I rate this the best hotel on my recent 6 week Central European tour from Prague to Budapest and 25+ hotels. Frankly due to currency confusion coming from the Czech republic I had miscalculated the cost and did not realise it was going to cost me over $100 a night, which was a little over my budget. However it was well worth it and my stay was really comfortable. I stayed there 3 nights and although the weather was erratic with rainy showers at times (they offered me an umbrella for the day when going for a trip to Auschwitz), all of the front of house/desk staff were always wonderful and unfailingly helpful and friendly. I was pleased to see them all again at different times (12 hour shifts!) and they all seemed happy to see me too. The room was spacious, bare timber floors but nice towelling scuffs and well furnished with a good desk and chair so good for using my laptop (which also fitted in the safe). Although it was right behind the lift there was no noise from that thankfully. The room looked “fancy” if you think overdressed beds with bolsters etc make a luxury hotel. The toiletries were real 4 star standard (all by l'Occitane) so far better than most. The only thing not good was a triangular spa-type tub with a hand held shower attachment – and no shower curtain etc so you really had to sit down on the back ledge to shower if you did not want the bathroom wet. The breakfast included in price I thought really good with varied choice- smoked salmon 2 days of 3 - yum, and also excellent raspberry puree drink (both missing on day 3 however as I was a little late). Omelettes/eggs to order I think (list on table) but did not try (or was offered – and wait staff only offered coffee/espresso on day 3, no offers at all on eggs). The breakfast room staff definitely did not match the front of house who were as I say exceptional. The location is also excellent, right in Stare Miasto and close to everything, including the station.

Only negative point for me was no eco policy on towels - even hanging up after use they all just get replaced. Help save the planet and forget 4 star presumptions and let us re-use stuff if we want to.
