“What a place!”

Our family (2 adults and 2 teenagers) stayed here for 2 nights during our short visit to Krakow and truly enjoyed it. The hotel neatly fits into the surrounding quiet streets of Krakow and everything about it is welcoming...the lobby, the staff and overall ambience. The rooms are well appointed, very comfortable and quiet. It can be difficult to get a reservation here, but is well worth it.

“One of the oldest luxury hotels in Cracow ...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

I recently stayed for one night at the Copernicus in one of their luxury suites, as I was curious to see this place which was recommended to me by various travellers. The room was nice, but a little bit worn out (especially the bathroom) and rather dark (nevertheless, I had a very beautiful night there … ). One thing which is perfect is the location in the oldest street of Krakow: just round the corner from the Wawel castle, and at walking distance of the old town.

On the downside, breakfast is definitely not at the level of a Relais and Châteaux … same applies to the service: basically OK, it was not what I'd call cordial.

After my various stays in Cracow, I definitely arrive at the conclusion that the best choice in this town are the high-end bed and breakfasts and not the hotels – you get more comfort and value at lower prices and you feel much more welcome than in any hotel …

“Restaurant better than the Hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

We stayed four nights at this Relais & Chateaux property. We had a suite at a very reasonable rate. The room was large and clean, with a massive well appointed bathroom. Loved the heated floors in the bathroom.
And yet... ..nothing seemed quite right about the room itself. I know it's a historic building but the layout wasn't conducive to comfort. The TV was distant from the bed, much of the furniture was not comfortable.
The location could not be better. Walk out the front door and there is the Royal Castle. The location is quiet.

“Wonderful service and a great stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2012

Relais and Chateaux property. We loved it, and got a very good rate on a day-before stay. The property was recently re-done, and the rooms in a 15th century building really made the place special. There was a pool in the lower level (did not use it, but it looked inviting) and we felt warm and welcomed. Breakfast was exceptional, and we could not have asked for a better place. When we arrived from the overnight train, the staff were friendly and when we asked about Auschwitz, she told us how and where to catch the bus, also told us of tours available, and we asked her to book us on one. The tour at 129 zloty pp (about 35USD ) was an exceptionally good value and we were so glad we did it.
The comments in TA were that it might be a bit noisy, so we asked in advance for a quiet room, and they gave us a wonderful room that was quiet and restful. They were very happy to store our luggage for the day when we were out touring, and we cannot say enough nice things about the place and the staff.

“Wonderful stay. Didn't want to leave!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

Everything we thought it would be and more!! We spent 4 nights here over New Year. Perfect location minutes from the castle and a short walk to the main square. Situated on a quiet cobbled street it was idyllic. It was a shame the weather was so mild we really would have liked some snow as it would have looked so beautiful.
If you like classical music we visited St Peter and St Paul's church just a few minutes walk away for a concert. It was fantastic the acoustics in the church was something else well worth it. think it was 50 zloty each.
All staff were very pleasant and helpful. We were greeted but the hotel manager who was lovely. We have no complaints other than we wished we could have stayed longer. A stunning hotel!!
I would definitely stay there again with no hesitation.
