After a lot of research we have booked this hotel on booking.com, and we have paid in advance. We arrived at the hotel around 10pm, tired from the trip, and had the unpleasant surprise to discover that the hotel had given our room to one group and that there were no rooms for us. Our room was fully paid but they did not bother to give it to another person. They booked one room for us in another hotel that were similar to Hotel Perla (at least they should have booked a better hotel), the hotel was too noisy but the worse is that it was not the hotel that we have choosen and paid for. So if you do not want surprises like that do not stay in this hotel, they do not care about guests and will not hesitate to give your room to another person.

I had booked the hotel Perla for a few days to experience Krakow, we checked in on our first evening after dodging cars across the main road after getting off the bus! this hotel is actually 10kilometers outside the city with nothing round it bar a main road and train line, this hotel wud suit people who go out in the morning and dont want to come back till late eveing as we wasted alot of time travelling in and out to get dressed for evening.
We did check out on our second day and moved to an apartment just off the square which was more suited to our needs as we only had 3 days left. i must say the staff are fantastic very helpful it just a pity that its so far out

This modern clean hotel is located slightly out of the centre but this is not a problem. Buses run from outside the hotel and connect with the excellent tram network. I have never enjoyed a hotel stay as much as this one. The multilingual staff are extremely helpful and very friendly. The food in the restaurant was delicious and well priced. I will recommend this hotel to anyone and I will be returning there as soon as I can.

Just back from a long weekend in Krakow to visit the city, Auschwitz and the salt mines and stayed at this hotel. It is clean, the staff are friendly and the breakfast very good but you are a way out of the centre. Would recommend it if there are a few of you to share the taxi fare as it does work out cheaper than staying in the Krakow centre. Taxi fare approx 30z one way but if you are prepared to walk to the tram station (about 15 mins) you can get the No. 19 straight into town. We were able to book trips to both Auschwitz and the salt mines from the hotel and it was only 10z more expensive than the centre of town - bearing in mind they got you to the pcik up point in the town that was OK.
