“Amazing!”

Arrived in Krakow on the 5th and came home yesterday the 8th.

The Regent is the ideal place to stay for your trip to Krakow. Located in Kazimierz in the Jewish Quarter, you will a 10min walk from Schindler's Factory and from the Main Market Square.

The staff at the Regent are extremely friendly and very helpful. The rooms are spacious and very clean. It is in a very quiet location. The breakfast is fab!

Thanks Regent Hotel for making our stay in Krakow so memorable. We hope to see you again!

“Poor staff, ripped off!!!!! beware”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

My friends and I stayed here last year for a long weekend, there was nine of us in total. We allways wanted to visit austwitch and the main square. We arranged the trip to austwitch for the Monday morning before our flight back to the UK. When all but my brother and i checked out we were told by 2 members of staff that a table had been broken in my brothers room which needed to be paid for. My brother is a carpenter and told me the table was somthing we wouldn't pay to put in a skip, nor would he waste a match to burn!!!, it had been repaired prior to us arriving there. The 2 rear legs were missing and had been replaced with a cheap piece of plywood. When i confronted the staff about this they said we should have reported it???? If they are prepared to put furniture in the room which we would deem unfit for the bin, why would we report it? To my horror they said it would cost 200 zloty to replace. They in my opinion were pocketing this for themselves. I needed to go to get our trip underway which had been planned in advance for over a year so i payed the 200 zloty and left.
In hinesight I should have asked for there names, a reciept, and a number in which i could contact to complain, but in the end we all agreed it was a lesson learned and would be prepared for our next trip. It was a shame this happened because the whole weekend was amazeing. The people were very friendly, the town old and new was fantastic and Austwitz was something which will stay with me forever. We all want to go back and im sure we will, but because of this experience we would NEVER EVER go back to that hotel. The experience and negitivity we felt from these 2 individuals spoilt what would have been a fantastic place to visit.
Please heed these words and be prepared for the con!!! which i later found out happens regularly in some of the hotels.

Room Tip: Inspect the room and querie anything which could bite you for the con before you accept it!!

Dear Sir,

We're sorry to hear such a negative review about our hotel and this all event.
Upon arrival, each room is thoroughly reviewed by the Head of floors and in the event of any defects immediately repaired.
Usually, if guests accidentally damage anything in your room or find something incorrect report their observations at the reception.
Cleaning lady noticed the damage after leaving the room for guests on the time of their departure. Until then, everything was in order.
In accordance with the rules of the hotel which is available in every room every guest is responsible for all types of damage or destruction of, equipment and facilities caused by his fault.

Best regards

“Rt Regent Hotel 19 UL. BOZEGO CIALA”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

We stayed here in September '11. A perfectly adequate if somewhat impersonal hotel. We were not looking for frills as we were up and out all day seeing this wonderful city. Ask for an upstairs room as ground floor rooms are adjacent to the sidewalk and there could be security issues. Also the breakfast buffet is easily overwhelmed by the numbers coming down late on. It did the job for us on a city break but it did not stand out from what may be many others like it. Very handy for the Kaziemirsk area (and Schindler factory) but a bit of a walk back to the main sights unless you master the tram system

Room Tip: Best if upstairs as ground floor rooms adjacent to sidewalk/pavement

Dear Sir,

Thanks for your opinion about our hotel. Each note is very important to us and is source of information about the positive benefits and also those which should be improved or changed. We strive to raise our standard and in November 2011 we bought new comfortable beds, and new 32 inch flat screen TVs.
We invite you to the next journey to Krakow and of course we hope to take advantage of our hotel and services.

Best regards

“Very Impressed”

My friend and I visited the Regent Hotel in May earlier this year after I was invited to a conference at the Jagiellonian University with all of three weeks to organise everything. This hotel was reasonably priced with various attractive amenities, such as a free continental breakfast (best scrambled egg ever). It is walking distance to the infamous market square and the walk is a lovely one as you see the castle and walk through several very green, very well maintained parks. The room was clean and, while a little on the small side, proved a very useful base while we explored Krakow.

“Value for money. excellent location”

We have just returned from a 4 day break in Krakow. We stayed at the Regent hotel and must say we had no complaints what so ever.
The hotel rooms were not very big but all we used the rooms for were to sleep and shower as we were out all day long.
The beds were a little uncomfortable but there is nothing like your own bed!
Every morning we had breakfast at the hotel; this consisted of hot and cold continental breakfast & was very nice.
In the bathrooms we had complimentary hand and shower gel so there was no need to take your own which saves on the luggage allowance!
Also supplied in the rooms were a hairdryer, again, this saved you having to take your own.
We had a room on the second floor facing the front of the hotel, our friends had a room on the first floor of the hotel facing into the garden hotel, the only difference with the rooms were that the ones on the second floor were bigger.
The hotel staff were very helpful, spoke good English and nothing was a problem for them.
The hotel was in a good location for the square, bars, cafes, restaurants and castles. It was also within walking distance to Schindler's Factory and the square with the chairs that represent the deaths of the Jewish (can’t remember what this square was called)
We organised two trips before we set off, one to Auschwitz and the other was to the Salt mines. We booked these through a company called Krakowshuttle.com, we were picked up at 9am from our hotel and taken on our way, very organised company and would use again. If you go on the Auschwitz tour, I would recommend that you include the lunch as you don’t have much time to purchase anything whilst at Auschwitz and the meals were very nice.
All in all our trip was excellent and would recommend the REGENT HOTEL to anybody.
