We stayed in this hotel last Autumn and booked before reading the negative reviews. I'm glad we did. It's old fashioned but has a charming faded elegance about. Spotlessly clean with good sized rooms and pleasant staff.The location is excellent and yes the road outside is busy but believe it or not they have traffic lights in Poland.Excellent value.

I don't know why people are saying this hotel is in a good location. It's not - unless you want quick access to the highway to escape from this awful hotel. It's a good 15 minute walk into the Old Town which is stupid because there are so many nicer hotels closer by. This hotel was probably nice in the 1960s but it need serious updating. Also the breakfast buffet is the most pathetic buffet I've ever seen in my life. There were liquid eggs, an empty container of cereal, creepy looking cold cuts and hard bread. The room the buffet was in was lit with fluorescent lights and had a strange buzz the whole time.

Just avoid this place if possible unless you are a Communist looking to relive the old glory days.

We spent four nights (Monday to Friday) at this hotel and in general we were more than satisfied with regard to the service etc. We had a 'strange' room in that it was divided into four! the first part was almost like an entrance hall with the wardrobe and dressing mirror. the next part was, I suppose, a small sitting area with TV, table and a couple of chairs. The sleeping area was tiny, almost caravan like with two single beds along side each other. (about a foot space in the middle and each next to a wall) The beds were terrible!! the most uncomfortable beds ww have ever slept on!!! However, the bathroom was enormous, bigger than the sleeping area and well appointed.

Breakfast was fine. Plenty of cold choice but not much hot choice.
the main fault with us was that it was too far out of the centre of the city. (I suppose not such a problem if you are younger and fitter!!) We usually walked one way and then returned by taxi.

Yes the hotel is a bit 80's but it was clean and comfortable. We were part of a school party and found the hotel ideal. The rooms were really big and we were not kept awake by excessive noise from outside. The location is superb.Ideal for our purposes.
