Fully preserved, not damaged during WWII, now in full glamour. Just a must see in Poland. Lots of churches, old houses, old beauty and modern at the same time. Sometimes a little overpriced and in some time a bit crowdy, but still worth seeing.

I was amazed by how beautiful and open the old centre of the town was. Wandering about was easy, traffic light with trams, busses and carriages available constantly. Golf buggy tours of the old town, Jewish quarter, ghetto and Schindler's factory a great way to learn some of the history of the place in comfort. Highly recommend a couple of days of wandering around. Great food and drink all over for very reasonable prices.
Very interesting architecture ansamble, I thought it will be boring after Prague, Budapest and Vienna. Surprisingly, Krakow, at least its historic centre, may compete with every another city. It is also unique place.
The entire area is filled with ambience and great architecture. Wonderful walking opportunity. Soak up the local flavor here.
We loved wandering the main square, especially since there were no cars. It was relaxing and beautiful, with lovely cafes and restaurants and of course, all those historic churches to visit. We tried chamber music in St. Adalbert's, the city's oldest church which only seats about 45 poeple. We were amazed. The program, which looked like greatest hits of the classics, was exciting and innovative. A real highlight.
well worth wandering around. We took sight-seeing trips in a golf- buggy (their brilliant answer to open-topped buses), on the river and in a cinderella-type horse and carriage. All great and not madly expensive.
