“Great Value”

This was our first visit to Krakow and we were unsure what to expect. The Hotel Globus was ideally situated 10 minutes from the Old Town and the Jewish District. The hotel is small and basic. It may not be suitable for anyone with health problems due to the three flights of stairs. The rooms were basic, clean and most importantly, in February in Krakow, warm. We had booked a double room but when checking in we were asked if we would like a double or a twin room.We chose the twin and it was very basic. The buffet breakfast was fine. The staff were very polite and helpful.
My main criticism would be that our room smelled of smoke due to the occupants in the next room.We were also wakened up every night with the same occupants arguing in the early hours of the morning.
I asked the staff about the smoking policy in the hotel and i was informed that there are some smoking rooms in the hotel.
Would I stay there again.... probably.

Room Tip: Ask about getting away from a smoking room.Ask about getting a room at the front as the view is inte...

“Fab location!”

We stayed at Globus rooms and apartments from the 20th Jan for 3 nights. Location of the hotel is really good 5/10 minute walk from the Old Town or the Jewish District.
The hotel is small and has no lift probably would be a problem if you had problems climbing stairs.
The room was warm, tea and coffee available, nice bathroom and a comfy bed.
The only problem i would say is the noise from the beeping from the traffic lights outside but just got used to it.
The hotel served breakfast in a cellar type room on the ground floor. plenty of food to choose from.
The hotel also had a pc free to use or free wifi just need to ask reception for the code.
For what we paid for this hotel for 3 nights it was really good value for money and highly recommend this hotel for budget travellers.
If anyone wants the email address of a taxi driver for airport transfers and trips give me a Private message.

“Excellent value”

I have just stayed at this hotel where I spent 2 nights on a B&B basis.

Been to Krakow a few times, had an idea where I wanted to stay and this fitted the bill for a couple of lads on a weekend sampling the delights of this great city.

With regards to this hotel it's really well located, in the middle of the main road connecting the Market Square with the Jewish Qtr, a few minutes walk to both.

It's fair to say it's reasonably basic buy very comfortable, in fact the beds were excellent.

Very clean and tidy place with a few drinking facilities which I know some travellers like to have in their room.

No tram noise as far as we were concerned so no worries about that, some people will obviously moan about it being on the main street for noise but in my view certainly didn't bother us.

Breakfast was good, simple and keeping with other hotels that I have stayed at, the breakfast area is in the basement bar. Great little bar and full of character, a cool setting.

Finally, the girls on reception - absolutely great, really pleasant, helpful and professional, a credit to the hotel.

I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if I was looking for a budget hotel.

“Nice base for city break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2011

We stayed here for four days in December. Lovely clean small hotel with friendly staff. The rooms are big enough for what you want from a city hotel, you have an en-suite and a closet room. Breakfast is included in the price of your room, buffet style but still very nice. We didn't have the correct adaptor for the plugs in the room, so when we asked at reception they kindly gave us one to keep for the duration of our stay. We were given a map on arrival and also a welcome drink card for one of the restaurants.
The hotel is five minutes walk from the main square and again five minutes walk to the Jewish quarter, so very good location.
The Christmas markets were lovely and we found it to be the same size as the ones we have visited in France and Germany. Everything is so cheap and we bought some lovely gifts and some keepsakes too!

“Great value, in central location.”

We stayed at the Globus hotel on a 3night visit to Krakow. The staff are absolutely fantastic. Friendly, and nothing is too much trouble for them. The breakfast, yoghurt, cheese, cold meat etc, is well laid out, and you are welcome to eat as much as you please. The rooms at the Globus are warm and comfortabe, with clean bathrooms, and plenty of hot water in a powerful shower.
My room was at the front of the building and, yes, the trams are noisy, although they stop at about 9.30 in the evening. I am a light sleeper, but the noise didn't bother me. it's not the sort of noise to wake me!!
The main square of Krakow is about a five minute walk away, and the route is lined with shops and restaurants, so a pleasant walk. The large Galleria shopping centre is about 10minutes walk away,so you are really cantral here. We really couldn't fault the Globus, and would stay there again.

Room Tip: BAck rooms would be quieter.
