This was our first visit to Krakow and we were unsure what to expect. The Hotel Globus was ideally situated 10 minutes from the Old Town and the Jewish District. The hotel is small and basic. It may not be suitable for anyone with health problems due to the three flights of stairs. The rooms were basic, clean and most importantly, in February in Krakow, warm. We had booked a double room but when checking in we were asked if we would like a double or a twin room.We chose the twin and it was very basic. The buffet breakfast was fine. The staff were very polite and helpful.
My main criticism would be that our room smelled of smoke due to the occupants in the next room.We were also wakened up every night with the same occupants arguing in the early hours of the morning.
I asked the staff about the smoking policy in the hotel and i was informed that there are some smoking rooms in the hotel.
Would I stay there again.... probably.
