Returned yesterday having stayed in the hotel for five nights - wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel has lots of character but, with the mod cons at the same time. Great breakfast to set you up for the day in the minus 18 temperature !! We were allocated a room on the first floor upon arrival but, asked to be moved the following morning due to building noise for the building next door - they did not quibble and we were then allocated a much larger room (306) on the third floor - massive room with very modern bathroom. The room was lovely and cosy after being out all day in the cold. There is a small bar located just off reception run by two ladies who love cats - cat cushions, etc being the theme throughout. The hotel is ideally located for not only seeing the city but, also from the bus and train stations should you wish to use it - public transport reliable and very cheap. Wish we could go back tomorrow - can I say more
