This was my first time in poland, and krakow is beautiful, even in january when it was minus 12 during the day. The hotel was in a superb location just inside walls of old town and only a 10 minute walk to train station. The staff were all very helpfull and friendly when approached but quiet and reserved when not. This is typically polish. The place has a number of original features giving it a traditional polish feel. This is not a modern high tech hotel but full of charactor and charm. Breakfast also polish and would cook eggs etc if asked. Small cosy bar also. I will definately stay here again.

Had a nice 2 night stay here for New Years. Perfectly located at a gate into the old town. We got an overpriced taxi from the train station to here. You can easily walk from this hotel to almost anywhere in Krakow. Excellent price, but suggest that you go for this hotel's nicer rooms, as the price difference isn't that much. Breakfast spread was nice and acceptable. Nice little bar in the hotel too that had an interesting assortment of cat decorations.

I had never visited Poland before, and when I looked at the prices of the rooms I didn't think much of it. If you compare the prices to hotels in Paris etc., prices are cheap.
When we arrived, the hotel was in the middle of renovations on our floor (the 1st) but that never bothered us since we were out all day.

We had a room on the first floor, at the front of the building so we could look out over the city walls. I can imagine there it can be quite loud on the streets in summer, but we stayed in february so there was no noise at night coming from outside. The room was big and clean. Bathroom was good as well.
Breakfast, where do I begin? It was excellent. Plenty of choice between hot and cold food. You could even order scrambled eggs and bacon, and they would make it for you in the kitchen.
Staff was friendly as well. We asked them to book our trip to Auschwitz and they did. A little bus came to pick us up at the hotel, and brought us back later that day.
We also had a coctail in the bar on our last evening there, which was good as well.

The location was perfect. Not far from the train station (10 minute walk) and only a 5 minute walk from the big market place.
We stayed for 4 nights, and I have no bad memory whatsoever! This hotel is a real jem. Don't hesitate if you want to visit Krakow, it isn't getting better than this.

We had done our homework and knew this was in a potentially noisy location. We requested a room in the back, so we had no problem (received our specific request for the pink and green striped room, which was perfectly lovely and spotless). The continental breakfast was delicious and had a good variety (eggs, fruit, sweet breads, etc). Krakow is a wonderful city, by the way. So beautiful. After returning to the States, I realized I'd lost my prescription sunglasses. The cab driver who had driven us to the airport from Hotel Polski had thoughtfully returned the glasses to the hotel. The management graciously shipped them back to me at their own expense. We were there in early June (actually it was 2010, I am late submitting this) and the room was quite warm. We were able to open a window.
