Stayed at this hotel in late October. Intitial thought was that it was OK, Receptionis friendly and no problems checking in. Room was OK, but as was said in previous review, cheap toiletries. Only a single cup for coffee, and only the makings for one cup of coffee and tea, but if you liked milk and sugar in both best choose which one! Went out for a short while, on return went the restaurant on the top floor, again as previously reviewed, nice view of the motorway! Meal in itself I suppose was OK, but certainly nothing to write home about. I think they tried to hard to make it look good and different (Master Cook style), but unfortunately it didn't work. Went down to our room, extra cup for tea/coffee provided, but still only enought milk and sugar for your choice of drink. It was a little chilly so tried adjusting the heating. Didn't work! Called reception, they sent up the handyman who poked and prodded the control, said it should work, and if the room didn't start warming up in five minutes to call again. Didn't work, again contacted reception. Handyman came back, changed the control head and again, wait for five minutes call again. Didn't work, called reception who said they would change our room. waited a further fifteen minutes, nothing. Tried calling reception, did not answer. Finally went down to reception to find out what was happening. Was told the handyman would bring up a portable heater, no room change! Heater did arrive within five minutes.
All in all, most disappointing. So the word of warning is, don't be misled by the friendlyness of the staff, it's their job to be nice.
