Campanile Katowice is located next to the A4 highway, about 2-3 km to the City Center (about 3 euro for taxi ride). It has paid parking, but you can leave your car for free in the neighbourhood. McDonald restaurant is located next to the hotel. Cheap taxi prices and cheap room rate makes this hotel good choice for traveler.

I stayed at this hotel in September 2009, sharing a room with my Dad and as part of a larger group of about 50 people in the City for a football game. It suited our needs for cheap comfortable accommodation for two nights, the morning breakfast buffet was fantastic and in a brilliant location wit Lidls around the corner (Cheap Booze), McDonalds beside it (Cheap Food) and a large shopping complex across the main highway. The staff were extremely friendly, happy to help, converse with us and allow us to drink our own beer within the bar as many of us were also buying from it too.

If returning to the city, i would definitely stay here again.

I spent 1 night in this hotel during my business trip to Katowice. It is nice, clean and quiet (even though it is close to speed road). The room was medium size with 1 big bed, nice & clean bathroom, tv-set, free wi-fi Internet. The price was 139 PLN/night (from sunday/monday) plus 32 PLN for breakfast. During the week the price is a little higher. It is not far away from city center so if you have a business meeting there - the location is good.

Hotel is located further from the centre than I thought however there is a frequent and cheap bus service from near the hotel to the centre( Nos 10 and 150) Walking would have taken about 30 mins or so. Have used Campanile in Warsaw, same standard but much nearer city centre.
The hotel is a modern clean hotel next to the Autoban but there was no traffic noise. There is a nearby Shopping Mall which has a very good selection of shops , a large supermarket and a very good selection of eating establishments .
Katowice itself is not a wonderful tourist city like for example Warsaw .Shops in city centre closed on Sundays but outof town shopping malls open. The Silecia centre on the site of an old coal mine ( Travel by tram from city centre) is every bit as big and good/bad as Metro Centre or Blue Water etc. Open on Sundays.
There is a shuttle bus service from the bus station in the city centre for 20 Pzl.Taxi to airport 170Pzl
Food is cheap and plentyful about 1/2 UK price for huge portions.
Beer is great at around £1 for 500 ml.
Went to Auchwitz on the saturday by local bus ( 1hour trip costs 7PZL ) Free enrty 20p to use toilet ?
Back to the hotel breakfast was very good . Cold meats , cheese fruit cereals etc with a hot plate serving scrambled eggs and delicious local sausages.
Dining room meal prices looked expensive compared to better resturants in the centre . No surprise there.
Booked hotel through an agency cost 200Euros for 4 nights B&B.
BEWARE : Hotel tried to claim that this was room only price when we checked out but as I had my booking receipt clearly stating the price was for B&B they backed down.
