“Amazing place - classy, private, affordable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

This is probably the loveliest place to stay in Sopot. A few steps from the beach and lovely park (Alejki) and 20min walk from the pier and Monte Cassino Str. You will be in the center but hidden away from the crowds. Lovely attentive mostly-male professional staff, cool Captain's bar, wonderful restaurant with excellent food and good prices, and cozy stylish rooms. This is a small place so you will feel like in a private mansion with great staff. Also, in my opinion, the best place for a wedding in Sopot! Small and private and again feels like having it in your own beautiful family mansion. RE: weddings - great prices and everything is included in the price per person - they wont charge you extra for any special requests and the manager will be think of everything ahead and make sure all runs smoothly. Truly professional and affordable. Magical place.
Only downside - it is close to a street, but you dont hear the noise once in the patio/restaurant or bedrooms. Give it a try and you will love it! There are not many such classy, private and affordable places in the whole TriCity!

“Nice small hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 September 2011

We have stayed in Dworek Admiral for one night. The hotel is very close to the sea (2-3 min), but about 10-15 min walk from the pedestrian city center and the famous pier.

The hotel is right next to a park, so the are is rather quiet, although the walls between rooms seem not to be well isolated and we could hear very well each time our neighbour was using water (it sounded as if someone was drilling in the wall) or watching TV. Fortunately we seemed to be lucky with our neighbours and the night was overall very quiet, but if you have light sleep and you're visiting in high season - it could be a problem. The hotel seems to be specializing in wedding parties, so I would expect some extra noise if your stay coincides with one of these.

Our room was rooms nice and generally clean. Each room in this hotel has is decorated with a theme, eg. Indian room, Greek room etc. Our bathroom had only a bathtub and it was placed under the inclined part of the roof, so it was almost impossible to use it for shower. If that's a problem for you - avoid the Greek room. There was a free wifi with good reception, which was a big advantage.

Overall the property is generally well maintained, but the rooms and bathrooms could be refreshed. There was a bit of black mold in some corners of the bathroom, the carpet had some stains etc.

The service was very nice and attentive, both at the check-in and breakfast. There is free parking right in front of the hotel, but no elevator, so you will need to bring your suitcases up the stairs to reach the reception and most likely one more floor to reach your room (not sure if they have any rooms on the reception level).

We have not used the hotel restaurant apart from breakfast which was a nice Polish-style platter of different meats, cheeses and vegetables. It was served at the table with drinks and cafe. We were also offered warm sausages or eggs, but didn't try. Since we have found a great restaurant right next to the hotel (between the hotel and the beach), we didn't have a chance to try the hotel restaurant.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and may come back if visiting Sopot again.

“A delightful experience!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 July 2011

It wasn't a good time to arrive: in a thunder storm before lunch! Instead of being shown to our allocated room, we were lead with apologies by the manager into an attic room with sloping ceilings which made it impossible to read in bed, sheets which were too small and a TV without an English speaking channel. In consequence, I asked myself why we had left all the charms of Gdansk that morning.
However, the sun came out, we ate in a beach cafe in front of the Grand Hotel patronised by Hitler and film stars and came to terms after two days with our room which, despite all its inconveniences proved to have its charms: privacy and the feeling of being in a tree house.
The building was orginally the private home of someone who must have been very affluent: it reminded me of some of the most expensive villas in the south of France. The food was excellent and well priced and we enjoyed eating in the beautiful dining room.
The hotel is only a ten minute walk along a shaded coastal strip dedicated to pedestrians, cyclists and rollerbladers. The pristine resort itself retains much of its original charm whilst being upgraded. Don't miss an opportunity to take a boat trip to Hel which is worth visiting if only for th harbour and beaches, not to mention the somewhat raffish atmosphere created by the shacks selling a variety of goods. if you are a WW1 buff however, like Gdansk Hel offers much that is interesting. One point to make to anyone staying in this area during Midsummer's Eve: people celebrate in style. They are not necessarily raucous but we got the impression that those long Baltic winters leave their mark on the inhabitants who like to have something to remember in front of the fire in December.
After a two day stay, we left with regret, having enjoyed our stay in this hotel and the resort very much indeed despite an inauspicious start. I felt we had enjoyed a taste of a former era .

“Hotel??? i think more like a joke!!!”

Hotel... Hotel has much left to wish for. The prices are high even for Poland and the service you get in return is just disappointing. The standards of the hotel are very basic, food decent but that's about it! You have to ask the staff to do things that you should take for granted if you pay those prices for a room.
So just an advice if you are not prepared to pay extra (backhanders) you will not get anything sorted. Oh and when you book a room make 3 times sure that they actually put you in on their books!!!
Do your self a favour and stay in a different hotel.

Very very disappointed guest
