“very good position - noisy on busy main street”

we had the Apartment at the front of hotel
room was huge with giant plasma tv
view of monte casinno street was fantastic
spent most evenings relaxing in room people watching
we went in high season but the hotel was so relaxed
however thre town of sopot was very very busy
so we had best of both worlds
the staff were very helpful and friendly
one quirk is that breakfast is served in your rooom
took a bit of getting used to but liked it in the end
the position of the hotel is perfect
if you like to be in the heart of the action
sopot realy is a party town and comes alive in summer
in short i reccomend sopot as a must visit destination
its got something for everyone and at ouch of class
it reminded me of the french medeteranian resorts
i cant wait to go back

Room Tip: suite is noisiest but has great view of main steet and square other rooms have no real view

“stayed in their rooms on Chopin street”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 August 2011

this place also runs cheaper rooms, about 250 meters from the Monte cassino street, situated on 40 Chopin street. (which means you dont have a reception there- if something doesnt work you have to go to the Monte cassino deluxe address.)
those rooms are cheaper, but still not cheap for Polish standards - compared to what you get in other cities like Cracow, Zakopane or even Warsaw!
Upon arrival we only got 1 key to the room. The key being one of those cards which you also need to plug in once in the room to get light, electricity, it was VERY annoying. The next day the girl in the reception knew how to get us a second key.... but the worst thing is that when we arrived, we found out the the rooms are all kind of below ground floor- so they are very very very dark... and you really don't fell comfortable opening the window while out or sleeping.... and the room was DIRTY.
The linnen on the bed was awful- old and worn and we didn't feel comfortable sleeping there. the carpet hadn't been vacuumed and the fridge was not clean either. The light bulbs in the bed-lamps were missing, the toilet was not clean and neither was the shower, though the bathroom design was nice. there were stains on the walls and the tiles in the bathroom were stained too. we complained about it the next day and were met by the person in charge who actually was very nice and promised us to fix it.
When we got back later the same day, they had cleaned the bathroom (though still not as well as i think it should be...) and changed the sheets and linen, which was so much nicer. we got used to staying there, 6 nights total, but i was very disappointed. They also gave us some vouchers for the Sheraton Spa, which was very nice, and i must sat that they were over all kind and helpful, but I would not go back.

“Good location and a good deal”

A bit hard to find the hotel but when actually found; a good deal! Good price and on the main street but also close to the beach. No parking at the hotel but a safe 24/7 open parking area (50 zloty for 24 hours) just behind the hotel.

Breakfast served at the door, large rooms, new bathrooms. DVDs, playstation and wireless internet connection included.

“Don't be fooled by the photos!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 May 2010

The place is to be avoided at all costs. It is dingy and dirty, there is no service. It is located in an old building with a scary and damp staircase. PLEASE on no condition agree to pay a downpayment for your stay (which is what I did), as you won't be able to get it back. Don't be fooled by the photos provided on their website, the room I saw was not even remotly like it. The toilet was dirty, the shower with fungus.

The entire facility is newly renovated (in 2011r.) and a lot of changes has been made in Monte Cassino De Luxe since your last stay.
The rooms are very elegant, decorated in warm colors, and each of the bathrooms are decorated in a unique designer style, all in marble with changing colors lights.
Currently we have a huge selection of breakfast options, which can be enjoyed both in the rooms and restaurant on the ground floor, depending on your preferences.
We provide Housekeeping service every day of your stay. Our employees are polite and well trained.

Perhaps you would like to visit us, than we will be very happy to convince you how many things have changed for the better.

Greetings
The management of Monte Cassino De Luxe

“unusuall acomodation”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 March 2009

Hello travelers!

Well... this is the kind of place open to all kind of opinions. Personally my first impression was kinda scary. I arrive to Gdansk airport very late due to metheorological issues at Varsaw airport. It seems this airport doesent operate during night so when the flight arrived i found myself at a tiny airport wich allmost all the lights were off and there were no cabs weighting at the door... Luckly there was a post with a phone number to call the local cab Co. So i weight (as the other few passengers of the flight) for a while and finally i found myself on the way to the hotel.

The way to the hotel is a thin road through the woods with no fixed lights, I know we are supoosed to talk about the hotel here, i only mention this so you dont think you are beeing kidnapped as i feared myself. The Hotel street is only for pedestrians so get ready to walk about 200 meters downhill with youre lugagge. You will find easier to go back as the street of the backside of the hotel is accesible by road.

The Hotel is located at the first floor of a non elevator creepy building located near the beach. The hotel only has 4-5 rooms and i think they rent the apertments of the higher flors. This is were darkness leaves our story.

After performing the check in i arrived to the room. It was big and i mean it. bigger than average junior suits. 40" Tv with usuall satlelite channels and DVD player. The decor was interesting. It was quite classic neutral style but something called my attention. there was this picture bigger than the tv of the gioconda smoking a hughe marihuana cigar. My room had views to the main street(I think its the only room with main street views). That is no problem for winter time but probably on summer it will be quite noisy as Sopot is a hotspot for polish summer turism.

The beds were confortable and linen was spotless as the rest of the room. Ehhmm no, no need to call the housekeepers. Polish do beds in a diferent way... You will see it when you go.

The bathroom was small and clean. It had not bath tube. Shampoo and shower soap were the only amenities.

The "hotel" doesnt have dinning room, or room service. Breakfast would be deliver to youre room but you have to arrange it the previous day with Front office. As i said its a flat. So the corridor leading to the roomms also leads to the kitchen. My trip mate saw the kitchen on the way to his room. The next day ordered milk with cookies instead of eggs and bacon.

This should be a choice for young people even though it wasnt particulary cheap.
