“Very good hotel, fantastic location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

If you plan to go to Sopot, this is the place. The hotel is located at the sea side and if your lucky (or pay extra for it) you will have a plendid view at the Baltic Sea. The hotel has been fully renovated few years ago and rooms are 100% clean, lots of space, have comfortable beds, are equiped with tv, wardrobs, minibars, tv, etc.
Absolutely fantastic staff & location. You can actually go outside and your at the beach, not mentioning their own garden facing the sea. The breakfast in the main restaurant, a bit too expensive and poor if I may comment, but you can easily find lots of nice places to eat your breakfats just around the corner if you wish. Overall - 100% recommended.

Room Tip: If your travelling of the season ask for a good fronting sea side, you should get it without extra c...

We stayed at the Grand Hotel Sopot whilst in Gdansk for a wedding. The hotel was lovely, warm, clean, comfortable - helpful staff, reasonably priced and a fabulous spa. Rooms were gererously proportioned and well appointed, it was quiet and peaceful. We really enjoyed it

“The most comfortable bed I ever slept”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

The Grand Hotel is I think most known hotel in Poland. It is famous from many years in the past and it used to be no. 1 hotel in Poland.
Many famous people and before 90's of XX century many politicans visit this hotel. It was a scene of many movies.

Know as the chain franchise hotels came to Poland it lost the prestige but it is still very popular and keeping the level. Personally I prefer the nerbay Sheraton but there are some periods when this hotels are much overpriced.

This now having a part in its name of Sofitel has the most comfortable bed I ever slept, really.
The standard rooms are really small, king size bed and not much more space. I recomend to take suites vith seaview.

The staff was helpful but the rooms need renovation, the same as the hotel itself.

There is not a lot of parking lots, no garage and some public parking lots around but not a lot.
The garage is in Zdrojowy House which is a part of Sheraton.

Hotel has inside pool and gym.

The hotel has an outside patio which is excellent place to take a drink and eat something on fresh air. Ther is restaurant and bar also inside.
From hotel there is just 1 step to the beach but it is not private.

Room Tip: - spacious rooms - suites - seaview

“The best hotel in town!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

We stayed for three nights in January, and it is our second time at the Grand. This is a wonderful hotel where you can just hole-up, have your meals in the room and schmooze in the luxury of your suite.! We had a balcony sea view this time. The cocktail bar is very stylish and relaxing, and the staff are impeccably presented and so very friendly and helpful. We stayed in another Sopot hotel on our way back from Bialystok, but it cant hold a candle to the Grand. We called in the wine bar in the next hotel, but didnt like it enough to stay for a night. I am afraid we have been spoiled, and we will definately be booking in again this year. It is one of the finest hotels i have ever stayed in and commend it very highly!Super, duper doo!!!

“nice on holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 December 2011

This is the perfect place to have a relaxing vacation. Great Location. I had a nice view of the sea. The food around the hotel is great. Staff all speak English are are very nice and is very kind, respectful and helpful. Room was very big and clean. Breakfast is expensive but worth it. Delicious food and wine in the hotel restaurant and a great choice of whiskey and brandy. The pool and Spa is wonderful.
I had a problem with TV, but room service was fast and repair this. No internet wifi in the room. The central heating system didn't work in first instance. Room on top of the ballroom was a bit noisy, but as it was the party we were attending it was no problem.
