“Nice and cosy hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 July 2011

I really loved my stay at the Villa Eva hotel. The atmosphere is really friendly and the hotel is beautiful. The great walking paths in the forest just behind the hotel yields variety to the beautiful beaches in the Gdansk bay. Also, for shopping lovers, it's a short walking distance to the Manhattan and Galeria Baltycka shopping malls. A great experience for a holiday.

“Most certainly the best restaurant in town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 July 2011

Excellent service both in the hotel & restaurant with freshly cooked food
Very comfortable and spotless room with the quiet forest view
Very convenient location within walking distance to the train station, public transport and close to the best sites in the city of Gdansk and Sopot
You can’t find any better accommodation in Gdansk but this is not a hotel for people who enjoy city traffic

“Nice, but not suitable for conferences or seminars”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 July 2011

We've stayed in this villa for one night at the end of June. We booked the room for more nights and also the conference room for a weekend, but unfortunately we had to cancel prior the event.
The villa itself is very nice, although the rooms might use some improvements. A double room is actually a twin room, there are not double beds in the villa. There is a very high and narrow closet to storage your clothes, which is not helpful unless you are very tall (at least 1.90m!). The internet did not worked in our room, we had to go in the lobby to have a proper connection.
Nevertheless, we could've gone beyond these things, unless it was for the conference room (at least, this was not suitable for our event).
If you want to organize a conference or a seminar in Villa Eva, you should pay attention to:
1. The 100 sqm conference room is not actually a conference room, but a ballroom! It has only glass doors, that do not close! and of course, it's decorated as a party room...
2. The exit of the small conference room (about 50 )sqm is directly in the restaurant/bar. And the restaurant's exit is in the street...
3. The beautiful garden they have is opened mainly for parties or weddings, it's not opened all day long.
On the other hand, the owner was kind and understanding enough to not extra charge us for cancellation and we do appreciate that.
The villa is very close to the Manhattan Center, the bus and train stations.

“Good, but could do with upgrade”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 July 2011

We stayed in this hotel at the beginning of June 11. It is generally a very nice hotel. The staff is very very helpful. But the room could do with an upgrade. There was a very big stain on the carpet and the beds were worn down badly. Really struggled with my back. Also there was a wedding celebration which is totally fine but it was very loud until very early hours and we were not informed about this before. Would come again but would check if there is a wedding again and if there are newer matrasses.
The hotel restaurant was great and food was tasty!

“Helpful staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 August 2006

We stayed at the Villa Eva Hotel in July 2006. The hotel is spotless and just a short tram journey from the Old town. (If you arrive on a Sunday as we did you can purchase tram tickets on the tram because the kiosks are all closed.) The staff on reception were particulary helpful when we needed to call a doctor. The situation was not a real emergency but the staff arranged everything for us and we only had to wait 90mins for a doctor. The problem was sorted and we enjoyed the rest of our stay. We would recommend this hotel. Also if you are travelling to Gdansk you would find a copy of Gdansk In your pocket very useful. We would have been lost without it ! We requested a copy from the website before we went and it arrived very quickly from Poland.
