I had a 3 night stay in Villa Angela, in February, with my 86 year old, but active, Mother. From the first email I sent them to the day we left their service, courtesy and efficiency was superb. We arrived in the early hours of the morning, in a bad snow storm, but there was someone ready to open the door and see us to our room on the ground floor and make sure all was fine. I have read in the other TripAdvisor reviews that the ground floor rooms were noisy. The first morning they asked if the room was OK and said that they had put us there because of not knowing Mum's mobility!. And it WAS OK. More than! Gleaming, VERY warm and just perfect. The 'special' February rate of about £17.00 per person, per night, WITH breakfast was unbelievable!
Breakfast, downstairs, was large and splendid. The 12 hour complimentary tea/coffee/water/biscuits system in the breakfast room was a lovely and welcome idea. As other reviewers have said the bus stops outside could not have been nearer, and once you had got used to their routes and being crushed like a sardine at busy times, they were quick and easy. We used the supermarket once and it was just like Lidl in UK!
In the three days we saw (on foot) ALL of beautiful Gdansk, and, even though it was well below freezing most of the time, every coffee shop, restaurant,, bar, we went to was amazingly warm and cosy. Everyone made us feel so welcome and were keen to know why we had come, and what we thought of , their city! Answering this was not difficult.
Perhaps now you can understand why I wrote the three word title to this review. I will be back. Definately!
