Compared to other hotels of the same chain I experienced in Poland, this one is one of the few up to international standards. Reception staff is friendly and speaks mostly fluent English, breakfast buffet is eatable and has even some day-to-day variety (which was not the case in any other hotels I stayed in while in Poland), close to everything which is of touristic interest (just a short 2-5mins stroll across the bridge(s) behind the hotel) and lots of places to eat, drink and shop within walking distance. In summary it's easy to say that the staff is (compared to other hotels of the same chain in Poland) extremely friendly and helpful and if English doesn't bring you any further, try a smile and hand-signs and you'll get what you need every time you ask for. They do have even a little gym which is good enough for a quick work-out, which is for free. So it's a good place to stay in Gdansk - as tourist or on business - and in case you are arriving by train don't be put off by the train station and surroundings, just hop in a taxi, which you'll find on the right outside the train station.
