We booked our room at the Alley after a cursory search on the web while driving, and were pleasantly surprised by our experience. The hotel is designed for business travelers and as such is rather sterile, but the staff is extremely friendly, competent, and helpful, and the location is quite good. Our room was large, comfortable, and modern and there was secure on-site parking. The receptionist referred us to a restaurant, Moravski, in the town center, and it was an excellent dining experience. Although Olomouc was not a scheduled stop in our itinerary, we're very glad we opted to spend a night there.

Stayed here on business in mid August 09 and found the hotel to be very comfortable and relaxing. Rooms clean and well appointed - with very comfy beds!

Location is next to a please station just on the fringe of the town, just by a park and only a short walk to the main town square (5 mins).

Didn't eat at the hotel but instead dined at a sports bar nearby which I found to be good value for money.

Situated next to a police station safety should be OK. It is an quite area only a quick stroll away from the square. The hotel is fairly new and boosts a 4 star rating. The reception is a little cramped, but the hall opens up to a roomy restaurant. We stayed in their largest suite situated on the 3 floor, the 50 sq. m. big suite Alley. It comes with a living room with a leather sitting group and a home theater, separate bed room, bath room with a jaccuzi and a large sunny terrace.

The suite was spotless clean and very quite. The lift was across the hall so access was easy. The only problem I faced was being locked out on the terrace due to a faulty door handle. The reception had DVD movies for rent so my teeage kids were kept busy for a while. There was a twin bed only in the suite, but the chamber maid arranged for a sofa to be used as an extra bed.

Breakfast was buffet style and the choice very large as there were nothing missing. The maid was very attentive just like the other staff. The breakfast room was very clean and so were the toilets on this floor. My two kids are choosy when it comes to hotels, but they likes this place very much. We paid 5000 Koruna for the suite and we were not charged for the extra bed.

The service was excellent, all staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

The bonus is that it is very quiet location and parking easy. The hotel has an excellent location for exploring the old town of Olomouc also.

Our room was large, clean and comfortable, with new furniture, flat TV. Bathroom was modern and clean.

The breakfast was very good, buffet style with a choice of both cold and hot items, cereals, yoghurts, breads, cakes etc.

During a stay we used a lounge for a business meeting with our customers from this region of the Czech Republic. Very good value for money.
