Spent 4 nights in Pegas in early July 2011 with 2 mates. We booked a triple room and were pleased to find a room with 3 single beds, not the 2 beds plus a sofa bed/camp bed type arrangement other hotels provide. Room was immaculately clean and well appointed with complimentary mini bar and cable connection for internet included in the price.
A good breakfast was provided from 07.00-10.00. This varied from a full buffet including hot food some days to breakfasts cooked to order on others. The last day we had to leave before breakfast, but a sizeable packed lunch was provided instead.
The hotel staff were attentive and spoke good English. The price for a triple room worked out at approx £110 per night, which is quite expensive by Czech standards, however the level of service matched that at the nearby Grand Hotel. Perhaps the only criticism would be the lack of air conditioning in the room. Brno gets very hot in the summer and the fan provided wasn't very effective at bringing the temperature down.
The Pegas minipivovar under the hotel provides good quality Czech and international dishes and has house brewed beer to wash it down with.
