I recently stayed at Atlante Residence for 9 days (July 23-August 1, 2010) with my father and my 6-year old son. We had a fantastic time here! The residence offers an airport pick-up service which is very reliable and handy. Our flight arrived more than 1 hour late, but our pick-up taximan, Petr, was waiting at the airport promptly. He was very friendly, gave us tips on the city, and helped us with our luggage. I immediately had a good impression of the services provided.
The apartment we stayed at was very beautiful! It was more than I expected (I stayed in a "Basic" apt.) -- to me the basic seemed luxurious! The apartment was very well-equipped, with everything you need in the kitchen, a comfortable sofabed (which my father used), and a double-bed in the bedroom. The bedroom is very large, with a large armoire (to hang clothes up and to put things on shelves), a large 3 or 4 drawer dresser, and 2 nightstands. We also have a nice view of the street. The bathroom is large too, and everything is beautifully furnished!
Francesco, the residence manager, was very helpful during our stay. He circled on my map all of the top things to visit in Praha, as well as giving us recommendations on where to eat. My father accidentally broke the toilet seat cover when he sat on it, but Francesco immediately replaced it at no charge. He was very efficient, kind, and hospitable.
This residence is also very conveniently located. It is an easy 10-minute walk to the metro (Andel), and there is a shopping mall (Novy Smichov) close by with many stores, including a Tesco supermarket that is open until midnight! There is also a pharmacy within the shopping mall, florist right outside, and several fast-food places (McDonalds and KFC). The street the residence is on is very quiet (except for some early-morning construction at around 7 AM during the week -- they are expanding the tram lines), yet it becomes more commercial closer to the metro area. It is very nice and everything is close by!
I definitely recommend this place to anyone wishing to visit Praha. You will really enjoy your time here and it is far better than any hotel I have ever stayed at.
