If you want to spent reasonably for a very decent place, Hotel General is the Place! My Wife and I were in Prague in July. We stayed in this Hotel for 5 nights. It might be a bit far from the city center, as you read in other reviews, but if you don't mind walking 20 minutes along the river in a beautiful historic city you should book this Hotel. Alternatively you have access to street cars which is 5 min walk from the hotel and take you to different touristic attractions within 10-15 minutes. But honestly we enjoyed walking around the city and didn't feel the distance. The Hotel itself is awesome!...very welcoming friendly helpful receptionists who patiently spend sufficient time to explain everything you need to know about the city and guide you whenever you have questions. Hotel is an old building (boutique hotel) but very well maintained...rooms are big enough with classic decoration and super clean...service is excellent...you will not be disappointed...the other thing we enjoyed was the breakfast buffet which was included in the room price and had a wide variety of food. Overall excellent experience and we'll definitely stay there again if we go back to the beautiful Prague.

we spent 4 days in this beautiful hotel,the welcome from the staff,the rooms ,the restaurant were all just amazing.it was our first time in prague and certainly wont be our last we would really recommend this hotel.

We had such a fantastic stay at this friendly five star hotel......every one was so friendly and helpful that you felt totally at ease and so comfortable in this beautiful hotel. Our suite was just fantastic, so quiet and comfortable for lounging around in. Breakfast was included in our deal and it really set you up for the day. We had booked this trip for my husbands birthday and to celebrate the hotel gave us a lovely bottle of wine which was so nice and considerate of them. All these little touches would make anyone want to visit again. This is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful city. I would recommend this hotel to everyone who wishes to visit Prague as the Hotel General really will make your visit perfect in every way.

I got to travel to Prague and Stockholm recently (Jan) by my self I may add and I was very happy that I was booked into the Hotel General, they were very freindly and most helpfull (even helping me load a Local sim card in my US phone). I ate in the Hotel most nights and the food was very good, even brakfast made to order each morning.
