We had an excellent two nights here after a soul-less all-paid three-nighter at the Hilton Prague. What a wonderful, wonderful surprise. We loved everything about the Ibis- not least it's location which is exactly where you want to be for the sights- right at the doorstep of fairy-tale. We were allowed to check in early- by 10am. My brother smokes :( so we got room 608. Never seen an Ibis room this size. Comfy twin beds, a large sofa and two cosy chairs to match in addition to the chairs by the desk area which ran along two walls of the room. Wi-fi was seamless. Enough wardrobe space and the bathroom was another Ibis surprise- huge- pretty much the size of the usual Ibis room!! A large-ish shower stall- lots of hot water with great pressure and wonder of wonders- two sinks!!! Rather than the usual Ibis soap-shampoo dispenser, we had moisturising Dove and Luxe products. Even the lifts had an elegant feel to them!! Nicely carpeted, with spotless mirrors and no long waits!
The staff at the reception was friendly and well-informed about all our touristy questions. The house-keeping I have to say was lax. They left a little of our careless litter right where it was on the floor and I believe the bed-making was an untidy rush job. My brother was leaving the room when they entered to not-tidy-up, and got to see some of the action! But honestly, we didn't mind. The hotel was hands down winner when comparing it to the dull, boring Hilton Prague which was a seven-minute walk away. The room here was nicer and the loo- far better than the Hilton's- also reviewed here on TA. They have a convenient ironing room on the first floor, and the safes are by the reception- for one of those you need to leave a deposit of 500 CZK- but it's a painless, no-fuss transaction making your payment and getting your money back.
There's lots of nice eating places close by, and if you're not adventurous, the food court at the Palladium Mall next door will do the job nicely- and the Billa supermarket is steps away. We ordered the 590 CZK (24 euro) hotel taxi to the airport which arrived on time.
This is the ideal spot to fall in love with Prague.
Room 608 is huge!! It's a smoking room, so if you puff, this is what you ask for and even if yo...

thanks very much for your great review - it is highly appreaciated. However I have to apologize for the lax of housekeeping in your room. Please note this level of service is not the norm in our hotel. I have reviewed your feedback with our housekeeping manager and corrective measures have been taken to avoid any re-occurence of situations like this.
Thank you again for staying with us and hopefully we will have a pleasure of welcoming you back in the future.
Many kind regards from the whole team of ibis Praha Old Town
