“A low-key gem with excellent location and value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 July 2010

I stayed at Pension Accord with my 3 kids (9,9, 17) and husband for 2 nights on an unexpected extended visit to Prague. The Pension has an excellent location, just a few blocks from the main city square in Praha 1. It has a foreboding, Communist-era office building facade, with main office on street level in a separate storefront, and first floor of main building comprising the small pension. Rooms were super clean, bright, comfortable, very simple (no internet, cable worked in one, but not the other, no fridge, just the basics). Street-side rooms have amazing windows, but given the party that seems to rage nightly, can be loud till the wee hours - not a good side for light sleepers. Courtyard-side rooms are completely quiet except for occasional, charming bell tower tolling that seems to stop late at night. Big windows, comfy beds, cable, good water pressure, nice towels. Great value at about 3k Kc total for a triple and a double room with typical Eastern European breakfast at hotel across the street. Friendly concierge speaks great English. A hidden gem that I will frequent when visiting the Golden City.

“great place for young”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 March 2010

this is a pension with 11 rooms on the first floor of an apartment building, which is not friendly from the outside, but absolutely OK from inside. as others mentioned before, you get exactly what is on the pictures on the website. one thing: the cleanliness is not good, our room was not vacuumed for weeks. otherwise, bathroom was OK, and the linen in the bed was really clean, great quality. the problem with the noise exist, but as young travelers, we were OK with it. the problem is that there is only a single-glass window on the room along the wall facing the street that lets technically all noise in. for us, after a full day walk in the city, it meant no problem at all. breakfast works now: one bar is like 10 min walking distance, so we picked the other option: hotel central opposite this pension (3star hotel), their buffet breakfast (7-10) was acceptable average quality. hotel staff friendly and flexible, we could check in early and check out late. the location is absolutely fabulous, and this price definitely worth it. as in the absolute downtown, i would not recommend to come by car. old town square 5 min, metro the same. in 4 days we didn't use any public transport :)

“OK for short stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 May 2009

This place was just OK. It took us a while to find the pension and there were renovations ongoing around it. A simple breakfast was included and served across the street in another hotel, though we did not partake. Our room was very basic but clean and the beds were really comfortable, though we spent little time in it. There was again a lot of street noise, which was mostly muffled when we closed the windows at night. The staff were great; the receptionists had some good suggestions and made a special effort in helping us get in touch with our local friends and helped coordinate things as there was no access to a phone from the room. We would have preferred that there was a phone in the room and that reception was open 24/7 and not 8-22 as it was. Also the shower was annoying as it only had a curtain and water easily escaped to the floor, but plenty of hot water and it wasn't supersmall. Also, it was somewhat cumbersome to negotiate the three keys to get into the building, the second floor and the room, especuilly after a long pilsner night out :) but no major complaints there. Our favourite part was the location and staff. Overall we found this pension expensive considering how basic it was, but the location made it worth it.

“Very Basic”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 May 2009

Stayed here last year and have to say it was not very good value for money. While the location was quite good the rooms were very damp and the bed was tiny. Staff could have been a little bit more friendly as well. All in all I think there are much better options in Prague.

“Great Location in center”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2008

I spent 3 nights in Pension Accord in april 2008. This hotel is exactly I was expected to be and exactly as was described on their web site. Yes it can be some noise in late night hours but i have expected that cause Prague is famous with night life and its night life is probably one of the major tourist attractions. For someone who wants to have nice and quiet time in Prague maybe it is better to stay away from center, but i wanted to feel city night life. There is so much traffic in Prague especially in center area and it can be very frustrating to find your self loosing hours and hours in finding parking space in center. This hotel have some kind of agreement with near parking and they managed to have driver to bring my cars from parking when i wanted to use my cars for going out of city. This was paid additionally as I expected.
Rooms in hotel are very large with large windows, clean and new, breakfast in restaurant across the street was fine too.
For me great value for accommodation in center area is late night returning from city. After few beers in pubs it is nice feeling to be in your bed just after few minutes walking :),
and after night in Prague pubs and few beers the noise that come from the streets trough open windows makes no problems for nice dreams :)
