Prague is very beautiful, even mystical city. Hotel Hastal, i think, is a the right hotel for such city - with all carpets, paintings on walls, chairs in rooms, with a great view on church, pretty bar, and great staff. Besides, i like hotels which a run by one family, i think that the difference between such places and smth like Marriott, is a soul. Such hotels are unique, they have their own history.
So, we`ve been here twice during two weeks, first time we`ve stayed for 5 days, and second time for 2 days. I`ve booked a standard room, but during our second staying, our room was upgraded for free to more the comfort room. View from standard room was on orange roofs of Prague, and from comfort - on the Church in front of the hotel. Both views are nice, bu i definitely prefer the second one. :)
Since we have included breakfasts, we have them downstairs, in the hotel. Breakfasts are pretty good, they have different cereals, milk, yogurts, sausages, omelets - standard European breakfast. But also they have a chocolate butter!
Also we have here a dinner several times. Food is really great and quite cheap! But they close at 11 p.m.
It is really not far from the center of Prague, about 7 minutes from Staromestska square.
And if you are thinking about visiting Prague in winter, don`t doubt :) it`s like a fairytale, all city was covered with snow. (After Prague we also visited a Plzen, Chodova Plana, Carlsbad, Ceske Budejovice). It was so beautiful, very cold, but that was really great!
About possible minuses - sometimes i was really cold in the room, but we solved this problem by adding a temp on a radiator. In the comfort room one of the lamps, was flashing, but i was not a problem for us, we just didn`t turn it on later, since there are lamps near a bed. Also i like to sleep on more tough pillows, but it is not a big minus :)
