In a quiet street near the Andel Metro and tram stop, one block from the river. Easy to reach via airport bus to Zlicin Metro terminal and Metro to Andel, 32Kc per person. No more than 20 minutes walk to the main sites, very pleasant along the river. Or get a tram, 24kc per journey.
Our room was a good size with a large shower room, with wardrobe in its lobby. Lots of plug sockets around the room, too. Staff were very nice, as were all the Czech people we met. Breakfast was continental style buffet, cereals, yoghurts, fruit juice, cheese ham, eggs (you could request scrambled, fried or hard-boiled), sausage, veg and hot meats in the hot plate. Hot drinks and a choice of herbal and normal teas also provided.
TV only had German, Czech and Russian channels. As we were on the top floor the windows were roof lights with nice curtains but they needed blinds as well, really. And there is a fee to use the safe. Wi-fi is free but we were a long way from its centre and couldn't always connect. But these are minor negatives. For £34 per night, it was very good value.
Andel has a large shopping mall where you could get a picnic, also a good variety of food in the food court - we went there on our first night when were finding our feet. A bit further up the road is Zlaty Klas, a great pub serving good filling food from a large menu.
