I chose to stay in Praha 10 in the Dana Residence which is located in a very quiet residential neighborhood. Very easy to get to at the last green metro stop (Skalka). Also very close to tram 22, which I preferred to take. This was my 3rd trip to Prague so I know my way around better now. I always get the travel pass at the airport, so travelling many times a day is no problem.
My room was very large and very clean. I had internet access in the room and a community computer to use on the stair landing. There was a bbq and picnic table in the back yard for my use. I had my own key to the building and door was always locked so I felt safe there. I did miss just walking out the door and going to an evening concert, but I appreciated the quiet neighborhood. I had a menu from which to order my next days breakfast and say what time I wanted it. The bed in my room was slightly hard, I don't know how the other rooms are. My room was $50 per night. I sent email for reservation from their website and it came back as undeliverable. This happens because his mailbox gets filled up. There is a different email address at another site which goes through. I found that the restaurants in this neighborhood (there are 2 very nice ones) were much cheaper than in the town center. There are also 2 grocery stores within walking distance.
