This small hotel which is situated in Zizkov, Prague 3 offers great value for money in terms of accommodation and location. The rooms are a good size and cleaned to a good standard. Breakfast is a serve yourself buffet with selection of cereals, breads, cooked meats and cheeses, jams, yoghourt and fruit, tea, coffee, etc. There is also selection of hot food on offer as well. The food is plentiful and included in the cost of the room. The hotel has a 24hr reception and the staff manning this were very helpful and polite.
There is a plentiful selection of restaurants and bars close by, offering a wide variety of foods including traditional Czech, Italian and Mexican; with prices for food and drink being considerably lower than in the tourist areas of Prague.
The hotel has easy access into Prague, my preferred route being by Metro which involves a 10 minute walk at either end of your journey; but this eliminates the need to catch a bus and then the Metro. As you leave the hotel turn left and walk approx 25 yards, cross the road and on your right you will see a tunnel (just before the bar Planet Zizkov). Walk through the tunnel and continue straight ahead, cross the road and in the distance you should see the sign for the Metro station Krizikova. This station is situated in the Karlin district and only 2 stops away from the centre of Prague. As you approach the station from Zizkov there is a tobacconists shop on the right hand side selling 1 and 3 day transport passes . Once you have purchased your pass don't forget to validate them as you enter the station. Transport staff frequently stop tourists to check passes and fines can be quite hefty for passengers with no pass or a non validated pass.
This is the fourth time we have stayed at the Seifert and will definitely stay there on our next trip to Prague.
