“Extremely good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

I stayed here for 3 nights in January 2012. Bearing in mind the class of hotel (good three star, I would say) and the price (about 160 euros for three nights), it's very difficult to find anything bad to say about this place.
The location is wonderful, very central, peaceful, with some nice cafes and restaurants within a two minute radius, let alone further afield. You can walk anywhere you want to go if you want to - I walked to the Vinohrady area in half an hour, then caught the metro back when it started to snow.
Room very comfortable, bathroom clean and fine. Free use of safe in the room. Free wifi worked perfectly the whole time I was there. Breakfast not stunning but variety of cereals, cheese, eggs, etc.

“Great location, more of a good 3-star than 4”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

The location couldn't have been better, and the staff friendly. But it's not what you usually expect from a 4-star, so if you know that upfront, it's better. The room was comfortable and cleaned perfectly every day, but it could have done with more lighting. The bathroom was OK but the shower splashed the bathroom annoyingly as it wasn't totally sealed - there was only a half partition. The bathroom could have certainly done with more shelf space - we didn't know where to put our toiletries so we were constantly improvising. Breakfast was to early - over by 9.30am - so we never made it, frankly. The breakfast room was a little stuffy for some reason. I'd do it again, but it's a let-down when you expect more, that's all I'm saying.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet one, away from the main road.

“Slippery bathroom tiles result in my downgrading”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

Clearly this place has class.

For a reasonable 69 Euros for a single rate in the off season, I had a large bedroom with an entrance vestibule on the first floor, complemented by a good sized bathroom. The room fronted onto the street which caused some noise issues for a small time on the Sunday morning (Saturday night continuation) however I slept reasonably.

All rooms were well lit. The bedding was comfortable, the carpets well designed and of good quality as was the linen. The cable television lacked smaller international channels such as Australia Network.

Everything in the bathroom worked well with good quality toiletries supplied. The room had a full bath.

Breakfast was downstairs in the covered area and was adequate although it lacked a good hot selection. It was way behind the quality of breakfasts in (for instance) Manila or Makati, Philippines at reasonable hotels.

I was going to give this property a four but because of slippery bathroom tiles, it gets a three out of five. I did not fall but an older person getting out of the bath could easily have. The quite friendly owners need to address this.

By the way, there is no lift so this hotel is unsuitable for many older travellers.

The hotel is a reasonable 8 to 10 minute walk from the Namestic Republiky tram stop where two tram routes to or from Prague Hl. N. (main) railway station go. Prague Masy. railway station is only one stop away. The hotel is a short distance by foot from the Old Town.

“very central clean place to stay”

I visited the hotel in October 2011 with a friend. The rooms are nice and very clean. For breakfast there was good choice. Because of the location perfect for visiting all important sights in Prague. Short distances and no tickets for public transport necessary. The staff was friendly and helpful. Thank you. Next time again...

“charming hotel”

Stayed for 3 nights here, such a warm and friendly welcome, even though we arrived in the middle of the night with a crying baby! a wonderful location, just a few minutes easy walk from the wonderful old town square. In fact, all the city centre is is easy walk of the hotel and we didnt need to use public transport at all, despite having the buggy.
breakfasts were fantastic and the staff friendly and keen to welcome us every day. it was very clean and our room really spacious, with everything we needed for us and our baby.
we would definitely stay here again.
