I spent a weekend on my own in Prague and wanted something cheap and cheerful to simply provide somewhere to sleep with the option of preparing my own meals if needed.
To get them out of the way first, the only negatives were some difficulty getting email responses after I had booked my accommodation, the walls were a bit thin meaning I could hear my neighbours returning in the evenings and the fact the building has an old fashioned lift which can't be used if a door was left open. I found this to be the case almost every time I returned to my apartment, but thankfully survived the 5 storey climb!
The apartment I had was pretty small and compact, but very clean and well equipped for the meagre 40 Euro each night. The bedroom comprised simply of a double bed with lovely warm bedding, a bedside table with lamp, a mirrored double wardrobe with plenty of hangers and 2 chairs. The living space had a good sized sofa, a corner table with 2 chairs, a tv (which was a little high to watch comfortably, but I didn't go all the way to Prague just to watch TV and had the free wi-fi to keep me entertained anyway). The kitchenette had a standard sized fridge, empty cupboard space, 2 electric hobs, sink & kettle. An wall mounted cupboard held a mixed assorted of mugs, glasses, crockery, cutlery, pots and pans.
Last but not least, the bathroom while the smallest of the 3 rooms was definitely the cheeriest with a yellow & blue colour scheme. Very clean with a nice shower (great water pressure) the usual toilet & sink facilities. It even had a towel rail which was quite pleasant for grabbing a towel after my morning showers!
The location is great on a quiet, dead end, street being only about a 10 minute walk from the river or old town square. While I didn't try it myself, if you don't fancy self-catering, there's a nice looking cafe just across the road.
