Found the room to be a very good bargain. Comfy double bed in a large room with ensuite bath/shower and bitdet. Clean.
The location is also very convenient being 5 minutes walk from the underground station and 2 minutes from the tram stop. Also an easy walk to the castle area.
Would recommend. Only do not expect a 24 hours reception as it is advertised in Venere.com !
The guy told us reception would close as soon as the last expected guest arrives. Good english spoken.

We stayed at this hotel in Oct 2006. The location is a good one once you have learnt how to take the trams. To walk to the main attractions and back can be a little too much for your feet at the end of the day. Highly advisable to get a tram pass, which is very affordable.


The only let down of the hotel are the staff. In our week long stay at the hotel, we encountered 4 of them. Only 1 out of the 4 has some manners. The rest were either rude, not at all friendly, curt or aloof. We've travelled to over 40 countries, and the staff at this hotel were probably one of the worst we've seen. They do not seem to enjoy or care about the guests who stay at the hotel.

The other disappointment is that the hotel staff do not give you fresh towels every day, even when you request for it.

This hotel would have been a great place to stay if the hotel staff attitude were a lot better. The coldness of the staff dampened our stay at the hotel.

We have just returned from a wonderful time in Prague. The hotel is ideally situated - not in the centre but close enough to all the sights, trams & buses.
I would recommend the taxi service to the hotel as we arrived in the evening & would have had problems finding it as it is not clearly identifiable as a hotel. The room was spacious, clean & warm. The breakfast was Ok - more cerael & less meat & cheese would have met more with our approval.

Would recommend the bar a few doors up - full of locals we were the only tourists in there but it was the cheapest place for beer & food (under 50p 500ml.) However if you order the food you will need to know some czech words as no translations available.

Would also recommend the Olympia resturant - recommended byt the hotel & our driver. Great food at good prices you must choose the goulash soup!!

We stayed in Prague one week in August 2006. We liked this managed appartment hotel very much.
You have breakfast in room, just call reception and 5 minutes later a lady brings two baskets with coffee, cheese sausage, marmelade, juice. Only choice of coffe or tea, but good food!

The house is a old house and in good situation.
You can go by foot to Karls bridge and the city center or use tram.

It is a quiet surrounding, not much noise! A small park is directly in front of the hotel.

Next time we would visit the artesse again!
