Great location. Tram and metro are close. We use a lot public transportation but you can also walk to old town. The hotel building is very nice.
We've got a triple room.The room was clean, comfortable and big. Breakfast was good. Very nice and helpful staff.

This hotel really surprised me. My friends and I got a promotion on booking.com, and we really didn´t expect much of the hotel based on the price we paid.. but it was great! The room was very comfortable and very very clean. The bed is amazing.. I could sleep all day.
I found the location very good although you can´t walk from Old Town square to there, the metro is really close to the hotel and in 5 minutes you can get to Old Town sq.
The staff was really nice!
Would definetely recommend!

Having stayed at Hotel Tyl on a cheap 3 night break at the beginning of December with my husband and another couple, I can thoroughly recommend it. For the price it was better than I expected. The hotel was comfortable, quiet and clean and good value for the price. The buffet breakfast was more than adequate and the staff friendly and helpful. The heating (up or down) was controlled from reception, but was adjusted when asked for and extra pillows were provided readily. On the first day we walked about 10 mins to Wenceslas Square and another 15 minutes walk to the centre of the old town and on the first the evening we ate at the nearby Matylda restaurant which was fine. After that the 22 tram was very convenient for the short ride to the Charles Bridge and the Castle area.

Having recently returned from Prague and staying at the Hotel Tyl, I just can't wait to go back.

The hotel is in an excellent location & the building is a delight - 19th century & carefully restored, clean & welcoming. The staff all speak English & help is always at hand - nothing is too much trouble.

My room was tastefully furnished, with bathroom en suite & equipped with all modern comforts; air conditioning with auto regulation, lounge area, telephone, tv, satellite, minibar & safe.

The Hotel also offers a pleasant lounge, breakfast room where a buffet is served, coffee bar with internet & a fully equipped fitness centre, sauna, whirlpool - it's an ideal place for a comfortable stay.

I would certainly recommend this hotel to any solo traveller looking for a small but perfect place to stay.
