We spent 3 nights here and chose it due to positive reviews and the closeness of the train station as we were visiting relatives in nearby towns outside of Prague. Our stay was very comfortable - infact the bed was the best we had slept in for quite a while. Breakfast selection was extensive and the staff attentive. Highly recommended!

i had a large and comfortable corner room (#211) at the Hotel Maria Prag. the complimentary buffet breakfast provided plenty of choices, and was tasty and fresh. the eating area was comfortable and clean. front desk staff was helpful, friendly, warm, and inviting. fitness center was minimal (i.e. treadmills and bikes), but it did contain a dry sauna and a small steamroom. the location was extremely convenient... both close to the city center (wenceslas square) and the subway. also, the Sherwood restaurant across the street had excellent food and great local (czech) beer.

My husband and I visited the hotel for 6 nights in June 2011. Our stay was excellent. The hotel is central to all the best sightseeing spots, so much so that you can go on foot everywhere. I only took a taxi across the river one evening simply due to wearing high heals! It appeared a safe area to walk back late at night also, as there is the added comfort of a police station across the road.
The hotel itself is exeptionally clean and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was epic! So much variety and good quality food.
Only one downside - the sauna facility wasn't working during our stay, which was a little disapointing, but not the end of the world as we were out a lot of the time anyway.

Stayed here for 3 nights in early December. The rooms are quite small, but comfortable on the whole. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful - the quickest to respond to requests / queries that we've found in any hotel. Breakfast is adequate, but nothing amazing. Location of the hotel is excellent: 2 minute walk to the main train station and metro, 5 minute walk to trams, or a leisurely 5 minute stroll to Wencelas Square or 10 minutes into Old Town Square. Overall, definitely recommended for what we paid.
