“Better not to stay there”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 May 2011

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, and it was one of the worst hotels I ever stayed in my life.
It is not even 3 star hotel as they call themselves, it is close to 2 star hotel, because there was no hairdryer (only for 20 Euro deposit), impossible to use safe (also only for 20 euro deposit), no soap, shampoo and other facilities, like slippers, guest directory etc...
TV was tied with special belts, what means that guests are not trusted and not cared and not appreciated in this hotel. Staff doesnt really care much of guests, especially women at the front desk are rude and look unhappy of their work. Location is terrible, very far from the old city center, one have to take 10 minutes walk to metro. Breakfast is okay, but too many people, that's probably why there was lack of plates and spoons. Wi-Fi internet in the lobby is terribly slow.
I will never stay there again.

“Don't go there unless want to be among smoke everywhere and way out of city”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 March 2011

This was worst hotel on trip- way out of town and got stiffed on cab ride from train for 4 times what cost should have been. Hotel near nothing and hard to find restaurants to even walk to for dinner. Breakfast selections were weird(instant coffee maker?) and people pushed and shoved to get at it! Only floor non-smoking was 15th, but elevator only goes to 14th floor. Hotel smelled awful from so much smoke everywhere. Room and bathroom small, clean without any amenities. We used outside window ledge as refrig! One towel each that was like sandpaper and had to ask for toilet paper twice, since maid did not replace and front desk staff forgot to order it for us. Only internet access in hotel lobby. Only 1 staff spoke any English

“nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2011

hotel is nice and quiet. food was okay. the only thing i didnt like about it is those card keys. when they become demagnetized you cant even use an elevator. it happened to us when we tried to enter our room and we couldnt even go down to reception because elevator wont move without your card.

“Clean but sparse hotel on the outskirts of town.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 December 2010

The lobby is dark wood paneling and has a very old world Bohemian feel to it. The whole hotel seemed to smell of fried foods, but after you were in there awhile you couldn’t really tell. They have a very large breakfast, but it is very traditional. I ate apples and toast pretty much every morning because not much else seemed appealing. They do have a computer in the “lounge” area where you can access the internet, but you have to wait quite awhile sometimes until it’s free. They also have no way of printing anything (learned that the hard way when we needed to print out a reservation). The beds were warm & comfy and the pillows were really nice too. The bathroom was a toilet in one room, shower and sink in another – shower was very small so if you’re large you might have trouble turning around/moving, etc. No alarm clock or just plain old wall clock. That was a bit of a pain. They did have a TV in the room and it got 1 English channel so that was nice. Some of the staff was extremely nice, other's were so-so.... It's a bit of a walk from the metro and there’s not a ton of lighting along the way at night. We walked back and forth from the metro to the hotel unless we had our suitcases and then we waited for the bus (it stops right outside the hotel). Sorry this is so scatter-brained, just trying to remember everything.

“The simple truth- for americans”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 October 2010

I read an extensive amount of reviews before my trip and was a little hesitant about my stay at Juno Hotel. The reviews scared me a little so to break it down here is how it went for us.
1. breakfast for americans was a NO- horrible bowls of things I could not make out. We ate toast and cheese the 2 times we actually went for breakfast.
2. the rooms are comfortable for 2-3 people, beds and pillows are clean and comfy
3. shower was small but had great water pressure (it did clog up a couple of times)
4. the elevator will not move unless you had your room key w/ you. We were on the 15th floor and the elevator only went to the 14th fl.
5. the cab ride to old town is abou 400 kr or about $25 each way, unless you have travel $ to spend on a taxi, take the metro, much easier and they come frequent (5 min max)
6. location was not convenient if all you want to do is see the sites but after a couple of days we found the tricks to it and i hope this helps...
a. if you are staying for more than a couple of days, buy the 5 day pass (500 kr) and it will get you on the bus, metro and the tram
b. take the 224 bus (bus stop right outside the hotel) to the metro station, only 1 stop(you will save yourself 10-15 minute walk if you take the bus
b. on your way back, go out to the bus stop and wait for the 224 bus and get off in front of the hotel (about 30 minute bus ride)

Overall it wasnt too bad, the tv only had 1 english channel CNN everything else was Czech but we were excited to be in Prague we still had a great time.

This hotel is not for the high maintenance person, its clean and affordable. Alot of tourist stay here on tour and if you are not used to smoke, prepare yourself, everyone smokes indoors.
