Where one could expect to have either bad or good server, one does not really know what one can get. Some days one will get good service, other days one can expect to get the most horrible service one ever could expect. The personal are in many case more interested in dealing with their friends or colleagues, than to look after the customers. The food is average - when it is being served. They for Prague strangely enough do not have beer on draft which makes drinking in the bar a very sad experience.

If you want to stay close to the O2 Arena in Prague this is your hotel! If you want a nice, clean, value for money, good and large breakfast, nice swimming pool, quiet neighbourhood, this is your hotel.

This hotel is a nit out of the centre but the metro isn't far from the centre. Lovely relaxing hotel.

My husband, 7 year old daughter and I stayed at the Carol Hotel for 4 nights during August. Although it was a reasonable rate for a room in Prague, we found the location with our 7 year old just a bit too far out of town. Had it just been my husband and I it would have been just fine. The breakfast was very good and the staff very nice and helpful. We had requested a double with an extra bed and when we arrived we were given 3 single beds. The room had an oder and there were stains on the chairs and rug. I immediately went to the front desk and I sensed that she knew the condition of the room as well. We were placed into a much larger room with a king size bed and a single for our daughter. The only problem was that it faced the street and it was quite noisy. It was also very hot so we had to keep the windows open and there were no screens or anything. Fans were not available. All in all not a bad hotel by any means but, I doubt if I would stay here again.

Stayed here for 10 days in August, loved it. Hotel is 2 or 3 minute walk from Ceskomoravska metro station, metro being the easiest and quickest way to get around in Prague, so very convenient. It's only 10 minutes on the metro to all the main sights in the city centre. The area around the hotel isn't great, but nothing strange for ex -communist eastern Europe. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the restaurant could stand on it's own, chef is excellent. I think we had one of the bigger rooms, with a walk in wardrobe, small balcony with chairs and table, plenty of cupboard space and was kept spotlessly clean. Shower wasn't great, but did the job. Plenty of hot water, which has been a problem in other places I've stayed. Pool is very nice, but also very cold, so be warned. They also have a sauna, but you pay extra for that, about £8 per half hour. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, very reasonably priced hotel, very nice staff, comfortable and convenient for city.
