Before staying in Prague I researched budget hotels and found a lot are no more than hostels with breakfast. On reflection spending a little more than planned on Lunik was an excellent decision. Overall very pleased with our stay and service recieved.

Good:
Location just outside city centre, 2 mins walk to tram and metro station, 15mins walk to city centre.
Clean modern room
Bathroom spotless, hair dryer in bathroom
Hotel access via secure lobby

Bad:
Double Standard turned out to be two twin beds pushed together!
Room very warm at night, 26C on the days we stayed
Modest room size
Breakfast ok, only hot food frankfurt sausage and scrambled egg

We have found this hotel by coincidence. Its location is superb - 200 mtrs to the tram stop and to the tube station. It is located only 2 stops from the Railway Station and there is no need to change the line after you get in there.

Quiet location, even from the street side.

This rather small hotel provides excellent basic amenities and is indeed for non smokers only.
The rooms are relatively small, but clean. Bed was very comfortable. No aircon or fans but it was very quiet. Bathroom was clean and well eqiuipped.

Breakfast is nice - cold cuts, cereal, yoghurt, and pastries. The waitresses (Barbora and her friend) were absolutely marvellous, very helpful and efficient.

All hotel staff was very nice and helpful.

I definitely stay in Lunik again in the future.

I recently visited this hotel, and I have nothing at all to complain about! The location is absolutely perfect, the area is very charming - the Namesti Miru square is adorable, the room was very clean and quite, breakfast was nice, staff was very helpful. I loved the stay! It felt very good to be able to stay in a laidback neighbourhood without the tourist hysteria of the old town, it is still very close to everything - you can either walk to most of the famous sights (depending on your fitness of course:) )or travel with the public transport system which works very efficiently. Please please please stay at this hotel when visiting Prague, you won't get disappointed.

Two friends and I came to Prague for a long weekend to celebrate my 50th birthday. We stayed at the Hotel Lunik for 3 nights. On checking in to the hotel the receptionist discovered that I had been allocated a room on a different floor to my friends. This was very quickly and easily rectified. The rooms were of a decent size and very well kept. The bed and the pillows were very comfy. One thing I did miss was a fridge in the room. Breakfast was a continental style buffet served in a dining room on the ground floor. I was impressed with the quality of the food. There is a small terrace outside the front of the hotel which is a very pleasant area to sit on for a coffee, cigarette and also to have breakfast as the weather was so good.
The reception area is very bright and really pleasantly decorated. There is a large fridge which stored soft drinks, wines and spirits for sale at really cheap prices.
Within a few minutes walking distance from the hotel are bars and restaurants and a supermarket. I would recommend Mezcal (latino bar and restaurant) and Radost FX. The new town was only a 15 minute walk from the hotel.
My friends and I were very pleasantly surprised at the standard of this 3 star hotel and we would certainly stay at the Hotel Lunik again and would recommend visitors to Prague to stay here.
